  1. If you can book it early, book the Hilton Garden Inn. Bout a 5 min walk and you’re at the stadium and it’s nice. I stayed at a Hampton Inn there bout 2 months ago and it was only about a 10 min drive to the stadium. Where the stadium is located wasn’t really that crowded or anything.
  2. Y’all get to experience the Minnesota gopher eyeing your kicker down.
  3. It’s crazy how your narrative from the beginning of the season about Enterprise being big, fast and physical with a good bit of returning starters has changed to y’all are a young team since things haven’t panned out the way you thought early on.
  4. @Dawg83The thing that gives me hope is we looked a lot better in the secondary with the player adjustments Golding did. Our biggest problem has been stopping the run and Durham will come in not 100% after suffering an ankle sprain last week which has him questionable but I expect him to play. After him they don’t have any real threat to run the ball.
  5. Yea he’s def looked good but there’s been a couple throws that a quality secondary could’ve prob got an interception off of. One that instantly comes to mind is the TD to Alexander that was being triple covered. I expect him to use his legs a lot more in this game. That’s his biggest advantage over Simmons against a defense like LSU even with Simmons at 100%. A big thing that this offense has been needing is a mobile QB that could possibly also get you 100 on the ground. Corral had his moments but I wouldn’t exactly consider him a dual threat QB like Trinidad is. Same with Dart. He had his moments but also not considered a dual threat.
  6. Ole Miss’ SEC schedule for the next couple years.
  7. USCe loses and the Beamer to Va Tech rumors start up.
  8. LSU has the better defensive roster but I’d take the Ole Miss offense and special teams over LSU’s. Especially since Nussmeier is rumored to be banged up. I keep seeing folks say they still question Ole Miss’ defense but they tend to leave out if they question LSU’s offense which has only looked good against SELA. Even in that game Nuss was pressured a good bit. The thing I’m most interested in is what kind of gameplan Weis Jr is going to have for LSU’s stingy defense. He has been criticized and rightfully so the last couple years but he’s actually done a great job so far this year. Hope it continues Saturday.
  9. I expected State, LSU and either Arkansas or Vandy. Oklahoma was a curveball when I was sitting on a fastball.
  10. So it’s not a good idea for your best player to touch the ball every snap? That’s a first for me hearing something like that.
  11. Nice to have a game where your palms aren’t sweaty and you’re biting your fingernails while sitting on the edge of the seat. Defense answered the call today and showed signs of what they can be. Bunch of big time 4th down stops that swung the game in our favor that we just couldn’t get last week. Now on to LSU.
  12. The cherry on top was how the announcers almost all game talked about how big and strong Arkansas’ defensive line looked.
  13. With the way Oak Grove played tonight they should handle Houston rather easily in two weeks. This is probably one of the worst Houston teams they’ve had in a long time because they are very young. OAN: Great job tonight Oak Grove. My cousin is Neville’s QB so I had my split screen going with this one and Tupelo/Oxford.
  14. Was kind of surprised North Forest went with the FG try there. They had enough time to try one more play. Not to mention they hadn’t been successful kicking.
  15. Tupelo 20 Oxford 13 2:22 4Q Tupelo stops Oxford on 4th down and can wrap the game up with 1 first down.
  16. Tupelo 20 Oxford 13 10:01 4Q Bobo with a 28 yard TD putting his rushing yards at 224 for the night.
  17. Tupelo 13 Oxford 13 3:31 3Q Tupelo had a 2nd & Goal from the 1, got an offsides to push them back to the 6 and then a hold to push them to the 16. Oxford stopped them and Tupelo then missed the FG.
  18. Who had Mario Craver leading the SEC in receiving yards on their bingo card?
  19. I hate doing the well this team did this against this team, but I will this one time. My verdict is still out on how good of a win last night was because watching us beat an Arkansas team who destroyed Arkansas St who was in a dog fight yesterday with a good Iowa St team gives me hope that maybe Arkansas is actually pretty decent. Their defense is what I thought it would be and I do believe their offense is going to look explosive against everyone they play besides LSU. My biggest gripe on our defense is we gotta have guys to set the edge better. Constantly we’re overpursuing and allowing big runs to the outside. We did somewhat a better job of it in the 2H but still at times got caught doing it. Last week it hurt us allowing McGowan to break off big runs. Secondary having four dropped INT’s is a good reason to gripe as well. Next week against Tulane we’ll be going up against almost an identical type of offense with a talented QB that can hurt you with his arm or legs so hopefully can get things worked out before then.
  20. Notre Dame will be 0-2 and somehow still in the top 15 when the new rankings come out.
