3A gonna be pretty stacked next season. Raleigh and Scott central are expected to move up to 3A, and possibly Collins. Morton is going to be loaded in a couple years, but they may be moving up to 4A last I heard.

Enterprise Bulldogs 2024 Football Preview

I think sweetwater is a pretty decent 1A team. They had a good year last year. I was told they dominated on defense in the jamboree, but again that’s just for one or two quarters. -

Gray had the 3rd most carries on the team last season, and he was a freshman. Our other back had more carries than Gray, and also is the fastest player on our team. And we probably have more speed this season than we have ever had. You were a different team when you got Sims back last season. Thats it. Sims was phenomenal. But he also was a senior and has graduated. If you watched your jamboree game last week, you know what I’m talking about. -

Dont know if we are better right now. We lost a lot of defensive production. A lot of new faces on defense, but a lot of potential there too. Our 10th grade group is really good. I feel good about where the defense will be near the end of the season. We match up better against offenses like Enterprise than we do those who spread the field and are more balanced. Offensively I feel pretty good. We should be very similar to what we were last season offensively, but we won’t throw the ball anywhere near as much. -

We expect you to think that enterprise will beat the Dallas Cowboys. We don’t consider your picks to be objectively thought out and well reasoned. I’m not picking yall to beat Union. I’m picking Union to win because they are at home. If Mize has a bad night, and enterprise has a good night, then Enterprise could upset Mize. But it will take Mize having an off night for it to happen. -

I’m only picking Union to win that game because it’s at Union. I do believe EC is more than capable of winning that game this early in the season though. -

I think Enterprise goes 5-4 this season. -

Wesson lost their best player. Still going to be good, but that player was a huge chunk of their offense. -
Watching Taylorsville against Scott Central this past weekend… it’s gonna be hard for another 1A team to beat them IF they stay healthy. Their starting 11 is very good. But beyond that, there is no depth at all. They dressed out 29 players at the jamboree, and 21 of those were juniors and seniors. They only had 8 players combined for 9th and 10th grade.

I agree with all of those except I got Raleigh over Bay Springs and Petal over Hattiesburg

Has anyone heard of a game last night where Shots were fired?
Chunky6617 replied to Wareaglefan1us's topic in Football
The guy from Laurel who was involved has been on Facebook trying to justify his side of the whole deal. Apparently he said some guys from Heidelberg were “cussing” his children, so he stood up for them. And he claims that the fans from Heidelberg threw the first punch and jumped on him. Not that any of that is justification for anything, because it’s not. I don’t know why the “adults” at these games can’t just act like adults. -
I think Scott central and Tville may have been the best overall, but I think Raleigh and Mize were not that far behind. Raleigh and Mize are comparable to each other. Taylorsville has a good starting 11 but they are not deep. I think they only had 29 players dress out tonight
