Yeah. 33-0 with just a little over 100 total yards offense. They just had a bad night. And Mize definitely does not have any speed. We are small, slow, and unathletic. We will be exposed Friday night.

I tell you what, Tville coming back and responding like they did this week speaks volumes for that new coaching staff. Bay Springs now probably needs to have a gut check moment after back to back tough weeks. I expect them to bounce back too

Im going to say union wins at home, but I will not be shocked if EC wins it. Apparently union still has a lot of offensive power but their defense must have a lot of work to do. I was surprised they lost to choctaw central. If enterprise can move the chains and keep unions offense off the field, I think they can win it. I think it’s a close game whoever ends up winning

That would definitely put them back in 3A.

I heard we are at 189 this year. Curious as to what Raleigh and Tville have.

When do the new numbers get turned in? I’m hearing our school (Mize) should turn in somewhere close to 190.

A couple years ago they were going to merge with collins but the parents showed up at the school board meeting and got it voted down. Which I don’t mind, that’s what voters and parents should do, they should be involved. But I think they made a mistake. It’s inevitable, the schools are gonna merge sometime in the next 4/5 years, IMO. Mount Olive barely has a high school squad, barely has a junior high squad, and they don’t hardly have anybody in elementary. It’s not sustainable.

Taylorsville will more than likely be 0-6 before they start playing other 1A opponents. Once the weather cools off some closer to October, that will help them assuming they can stay healthy. They cannot afford to have any injuries, and they already have one from this past Friday night to one of their senior WR’s. I don’t know how long he will be out for. I don’t know how much longer Mount Olive will even continue to be a school. It’s just a matter of time before they end up merging with Collins. I think they may have 20 players, maybe not even that many. I think I counted 18 in their first game against Puckett and I know they have at least one 8th grader playing with them.

Tville is basically playing with 20 players right now. They have no depth whatsoever. Their starters are really good, but when they get tired there is nobody that can sub out for them without there being a big drop off. They had 2 guys puking on the field and probably 10 dropping with cramps. The game was over in the 2nd quarter

I’m not surprised that Mize beat Taylorsville. I felt pretty good about our chances. But I am surprised at the score. And honestly the score should have been alot worse. We made quite a few mistakes on offense that took touchdowns off the board. It’s gonna be a rough 6 games for Taylorsville. They will probably be 0-6 once they get into district play. They have a good starting group, but they have no backups at all, and right now in this heat that’s going to really hurt them.

We had a couple that were cramping. Tville only had 26 players or so dressed out. They have no depth. Their coach can’t control the numbers on the roster. They don’t have anybody they can sub in for at most positions . We were able to rotate some guys in and stay a lot fresher

Tville’s starting 11 is talented, but they are paper thin depth wise. And that’s not a good recipe right now early season in this heat. They were dropping like flies with heat cramps tonight
