Coaches with multiple championships in different classes

Pending isn’t winning a championship. You invalidated your whole topic -
Magee and Noxubee will not be that high scoring. I do think Noxubee wins though

Heidelberg already had 5000 yards of offense on the season coming in to last nights game. Raleigh will have the best defense that Heidelberg has faced so far, and their defense will keep the game close for a half. But Heidelberg’s defense is almost just as good as Raleigh’s, and Raleigh‘s offense should struggle to move the ball. I think Heidelberg scores once each quarter. But if they score quick and early like Magee did, it could get ugly. Raleigh’s offense is not built to come from behind. They rely on their defense to keep them in the game, while attempting to pound away on offense.

Heidelberg @ Raleigh for south state for 2nd year in a row. The best offense in 2A against the best defense in 2A. However, Heidelberg’s defense is almost just as good as Raleigh’s. I have seen both teams up close and personal. Heidelberg is a better version of Magee. If Raleigh had more offensive firepower, they could make this a game but they are going to need Heidelberg to beat themselves in order to have a chance Im afraid. I normally do not like to predict a shutout, but I think I will this week. I got Heidelberg winning 28-0, and also winning it all the next week against Charleston.
-
Man I was as close as it gets. Next Friday I like Charleston over Northside in a decent game. And I like Heidelberg in another big win. Raleigh’s defense will keep it interesting for a half, but I like Heidelberg 28-0.

Jefferson County 6-0 at the half over Magee
-
The 3 WR’s in week 1 were Rico Crosby, Dre Keyes, and Bun Pittman and all of them are seniors. Now, I know Pittman doesn’t usually start but Barnes was out of town that week. Beavers is a senior QB. And they have two senior linemen because they moved Quinn to the line. Their junior class is their biggest class, but depth was already a major concern this season. It will be an even bigger concern next season. Starting wise, they will still be ok. I do not think they will make the same kind of schedule that they have had the last 2 years.
-
They must have new starters than they did earlier in the year. Most everybody predicted Tville to be a contender this year because of all they had returning.
-
Heck matter of fact, clarkdale is an hour and 20 minutes away from mize. Enterprise is a little over an hour away. Had Newton been in region 6, all of their away opponents would have only been 30-45 minutes away. Had mize been in region 5, their furtherest away game would have been scott central which is still less than an hour drive.
-
For Newton there isn’t much difference. For mize, we now have two opponents that are an hour drive away and one that is about 50 minutes or more. Seems to me it would have been more fair overall travel wise for mize to be in region 5.
-
Y’all will still play mize and Taylorsville. And I would imagine bay springs
-
If Newton had been placed in region 6, their furtherest drive would have 45 minutes to Heidelberg. All the rest of their drives would have been 35 minutes away. Their drives to their current district opponents in region 5 will be similar except for Lake. But their drive to puckett will be almost an hour.
-
I didn’t understand that either. Overall the region pairings were ok. But there were some head scratchers.
-
I definitely think regions 4 and 6 are the toughest regions. I don’t understand putting Newton in region 5 and Mize in region 6, but other than that it looks about right.

Holy cow look at 3A region 6… brutal. Magee Raleigh JDC Seminary
-
Not quite sure how Mize got put in region 6 but Newton got put in region 5… that doesn’t make any sense at all.
-
They basically return Barnes, the RB, and one OL on offense. Barnes will be the entire offense next year, pretty much a one man show, and that’s if he comes back next year. Defense loses almost as much as the offense, and it was already a very slim roster. I have seen the JV and the junior high. The wing/double wing may end up being their best option. They have a couple guys who could be some good backs. Luckily they are still in 1A, but I think Stringer ends up taking their place in the region.
-
And most teams that do have those will choose to run a spread. When you have a decent QB, and one good WR, passing from the wing-t or double wing can be very effective. Mize had good success in the air last season. Tville running a wing this early is a little surprising, but I definitely think that’s what could be in their future. They have a really big drop off coming
-
Not very effectively
-
It wouldn’t matter anyway. Velma is quite a good bit better regardless. The double wing or wing-t is what they will be running after this season. Might as well start getting prepared. This will probably be the last good team Tville has for quite a while.
-
In 2A, I like Charleston over Calhoun city, in a not that close of a game. I’m gonna go with northside over Union. I think Heidelberg is going to whip Bay Springs, but not like they have been whipping everybody else. Maybe 28-7. And I also think Raleigh wins 28-7.
-
As for the game between Raleigh and Loyd star, Raleigh should win that game, maybe even pretty handily. Raleigh probably won’t score a ton of points, but Loyd Star will not be able to run their style of offense against Raleigh. I do not think they will score more than once, if at all. Nothing against Loyd Star, because they play hard, but you just cannot just line up and run it right at Raleigh’s defense. I like Raleigh to win 28-7
-
That math don’t add up. Scoring 47.4 points per game over 15 games would only be 711 points. Nevermind. I see they played 16 games that year.
-
I was incorrect. Heidelberg is averaging 50 points per game, which would put them past NW’s record season if they kept it up. I don’t see them keeping that up over these next 2-3 games though.
