So do you think Lebby would be a high floor/low ceiling type coach?

State has alumni willing to pay the buyout, so it would have to be something other than financial related to have to go in another direction. I still wouldn’t rule him out though. He would be a better hire than Lebby for sure. If Selmon has to settle, I don’t think that will be a good look for him. He needs to knock this hire out the park and then some.

It’s been a long time since Picayune did an official livestream for football. They used to do them for away games many moons ago (like years and years). Hopefully this will help the folks who can’t make it to the game.

Even though the North Half Championship is at Clarksdale and Clarksdale won the first bout over West Point, I just don't see them doing it again. Even if West Point were to lose again to Clarksdale, I still think the North Half Champion winds up being the 5A State Champion. As far as the Gautier-Laurel rematch goes, I don't really want to touch it with a 10 foot pole. That game is going to be a mess. I kind of think the winner of this game is the one who doesn't have to make the trip to Oxford LOL!

I also think the Poplarville-Columbia game will be much closer. Columbia may be the better team, but Poplarville isn't going to just give up the ghost and go down without a 4 quarter fight. That's not how they operate up there.

Definitely got an old school big boy football feel to it, doesn't it? If we get some rain Thursday evening jerseys definitely won't be clean. Might as well throw in the old school look to the game as well. That little stadium is going to be slam full and it'll be jacket weather too. Looking forward to it.
