All of this being bad is going to catch up to Laurel (it probably already has and surpassed them). I know it's early, but Region 3-5A is looking way better than Region 4 right now. Natchez, Brookhaven, & South Jones are all currently undefeated in Region 3. Florence is another one you can throw into the mix as well for added sugar.

I think if Oak Grove scores first, then it's theirs to lose. I just don't think Hattiesburg would have the ability to knot things up and overtake the lead. Not saying it won't be a good game because it should be, but it's imperative for Hattiesburg to start fast and not trail if they want a shot at this one.

@VottI know this isn't a good measuring stick, but Hattiesburg this year should be more talented than Ocean Springs and you see how well Ocean Springs played against Oak Grove. Hattiesburg definitely has a chance to get a win at Oak Grove, but Hattiesburg cannot have a let down defensively and Hattiesburg needs some success against Oak Grove's defense. I certainly am not in a position to try to predict an outcome in this one, but it shouldn't be a rout either way.

Two outta three ain't bad, but I understand wanting the sweep. If there's any keys for Hattiesburg in this one it's don't fall behind, win the coin toss, get the ball to start the game, control TOP, and don't turn the ball over. Also getting some defensive stops and avoiding a shootout with Oak Grove will help too. I think if Hattiesburg finds themselves in a shootout with Oak Grove, they won't have the advantage.

If State loses to Toledo it certainly won’t be the first time I’ve seen them lose in person. It’ll just mean that Lebby will have more work cut out for him than initially thought and he still has a lot of work to do regardless.
