I realize no lead against LSU is a comfortable lead, but you had a 4 run lead against them. If it's not the hitting that costs State the ballgame, it's the pitching. A good baseball team would have been able to seal the deal last night.

South Jones had a little bit of a pulse last year and the Pike County schools generally play tough. West Jones can't get slack. I don't think they will, but it could be a deceptively tough schedule.

So Pico will stay on Friday. They'll start Siary today and Ligon on Saturday. It's still an uphill climb regardless.

They were young and probably over-achieved last year (which is outstanding). They are always fun to watch and it's very easy to pull for them, but they'll be right back in the thick of it. I'm glad we get back to playing them this year.

But why does the Head Football Coach have to be the AD? Down here at Picayune our AD is an assistant football coach and assistant principal. Picayune also has an assistant AD as well.

You're absolutely right. It's not "Fire Lemonis" time because that time has already passed. When you do nothing, expect nothing.

But when you are trying to operate a 7A athletic department like a D1 athletic department, why combine the duties? I get the point made about that being the way to give the HFC a bump in pay, but with the deep pockets that Brandon has, they should be able to afford both. Give the base pay and then give supplemental pay. Is there a limit on supplemental pay?

Brandon is in a bit of an identity crisis with their job posting. Do they want a HFC or an AD? It seems to me like it would make better sense if it was two separate positions. Do you want this guy to have some family time or not?
