That was a great effort by Ocean Springs. There’s nothing y’all have to be ashamed of. The coast was represented quite well.

I concur

Yeah tell me about it LOL!

Picayune 7 Brandon 7 Half

I know Picayune is ready because the job ain't finished. We've got work to do and we look forward to getting started. I think y'all will go up there to Madison Central and give your best effort. I think it's going to be two slobberknocker type ballgames up there. I would love for both coast teams to go up there and get a win tonight, but regardless of that there won't be anybody getting bullied and pushed around like a ragdoll. I think you are going to see two coast teams go up there and play this football game like it's their last.

It's too bad y'all aren't the Yellow Jackets anymore because if y'all were, having the Hornets vs. the Yellow Jackets could be called the Hive Bowl. Y'all could have a legit rivalry with a trophy and everything LOL!

I honestly don't think they have one and I don't know of any Poplarville fans that post on here. It appears their school website is under construction and there's not anything on the athletics tab because when you click on it nothing happens. If you want to pay cash for your tickets, you'll need to get them at the Poplarville High School office today from 10-2. If not, gofan is your only option.

I'm just glad I won't have to watch this Picayune-Brandon game sitting on my M38A1 gas tank because sparks are going to be flying tonight LOL!

Well today is gameday! Woohoo! I hope everyone from Ocean Springs and Picayune has safe travels today. It's big boy football tonight, so buckle up your chin straps and get ready. These should be two great games that will be going on in the Metro Jackson Area.

OG 49 WC 0 Final

49-0 Oak Grove End 3rd

They look good Dub. I certainly wasn’t expecting this type of outcome against Wayne County, but it’s happening.

Correction: the PAT was good. It’s 42-0 Oak Grove at the half

Pick six for Oak Grove. Up 41-0. The PAT must have been wide.

Oak Grove 35 Wayne County 0 4:31 2nd

Oak Grove 21 Wayne County 0 End 1st

If Wayne County can’t get anything going on offense, they might be in for a long night.

Oak Grove 7 Wayne County 0 1st

Don’t be counting chickens before they hatch now. LOL!

Don't let Dub get to you (and I don't think you are). He's just getting feisty because he's ready for some football, but hey aren't we all? LOL! That was a great post BTW.

It's very possible. The only reason Coach Branch got the starting job was because he knew the T-formation. He knew it from high school at Pascagoula under Dobie Holden and then he followed Coach Holden to The River and played in it two years there. There were QB's on State's roster at the time who were bigger and more athletic, but they didn't get the starting job because they didn't know the T-formation offense. Coach Branch told me that at that time only the QB's could call plays. The head coach couldn't do it for some reason or another, so the QB needed to know the offense very well.

What's the definition of an "unearned" touchdown? Is it one that has been gift wrapped and been given as a gift? If a defender causes a fumble and the defense does a scoop & score, is that just a reward of the game or is it an earned touchdown? I feel like there's an argument for both scenarios LOL!

Well ain't that interesting. @wpgreenwave51I think that's probably a good compromise for you.

Vott, Imma let you and Merlin hash that out LOL!
