  1. Well the job certainly isn't finished and your confidence in The Tide is certainly appreciated, but we've got work to do and hopefully we can get there.
  2. On paper yes they check all the boxes to make a deep playoff run. The top opponents that they would see in 6A south would probably be Pascagoula, West Jones, and I reckon us. But it's obviously a ways out. It looks like Vott has chimed in with a response as I type this.
  3. I think PRC is equivalent to a 1000 acre field that you have to plow with a mule. It's going to take a while there and it may never get done at all, but at least the opportunity is there for it to happen.
  4. Deonte, how did Purvis do in their scrimmage last week? I think they were playing PRC if I'm not mistaken.
  5. Best wishes against East Central. Hopefully y'all can come away with a W.
  6. That's a very strong post, but I think there's some sustenance behind it as well.
  7. Pardon my ignorance, they have to face y'all in non district play. I guess the nightmare continues LOL!
  8. That's right. Neshoba has an opportunity to sneak through the window. They ain't gotta face that Green Wave steel curtain this year LOL!
  9. Would a South Panola vs. Warren Central matchup make the most sense for a 6a North State Championship or would it be some other different teams? I realize that's very hard to gauge right now, but I don't reckon it hurts to ponder on what could be.
  10. I remember watching Russell play and now he's the head coach at Germantown. Time definitely flies.
  11. I really like the Germantown pick. I hope they can have a great season.
  12. Dub, you're a good man. Your statements are very much respected and appreciated.
  13. How do you like your crow cooked? Do you want it fried, sautéed, grilled, baked, or just plain raw? We can certainly accommodate whichever cooked or uncooked method you prefer.
  14. I feel bad for the teams that try to replicate our offense via a scout team. It's got to be a complete disaster LOL!
  15. Your post is fine and it doesn't make me angry. I'll gladly take a loss in exchange for a gold ball any day LOL! But I do have to ask you a question though, which team do you think will control time of possession? Do you envision this as some sort of shootout with roughly equal TOP's on both sides?
  16. There's a flipside to this coin as well. This game certainly won't help Brandon win it all either. It's a non-district, pre-region game. It's not a playoff game.
  17. Brandon has been playing football since 1932. Have they been able to win a game when it mattered the most? Getting to the state title game is definitely an impressive feat, but do they know what it's like to win the very last football game of the year? Maybe one day they will.
  18. Brandon is a great football team. There's no denying that at all, but Picayune is a great football team as well. It's not going to be as lopsided as you think and I think the outcome might be a little different than you think as well.
  19. That site is a complete joke. It's not even right for Picayune and it's probably wrong for mostly everybody else.
  20. Have you had a chance to meet Coach Twig Branch? He played QB (wore #0) for Slick Morton back in the early 50's and was the smallest starting college QB in the country at that time. He coached Picayune from 1957-62 and still lives here. He was at our spring game and he attends pretty much all of our home games as well. When Joe Fortunato gives you your nickname, it definitely makes for an interesting story to tell. You would enjoy talking to him if you haven't had a chance to.
  21. Dub, Picayune has had to deal with Gautier and Gulfport. Gautier was definitely tough with Kaden Irving, but Picayune made adjustments defensively in the playoffs and was able to neutralize the passing attack. I feel like our defensive front can wreak some havoc by putting pressure on Brandon’s passing attack and when they use that to open up the run game, Picayune can make necessary stops there as well. I also think in a game like this, the best defense is a good offense. Picayune needs to eat clock, wear Brandon down defensively and score.
  22. I truly believe y’all can go in there and get a win, but I feel like the approach needs to be different and I don’t quite know what that is. All I know is that if Hattiesburg approaches this game like they’ve done recently, the results are going to be similar. Thankfully it doesn’t have to be that way, nor should it be.
