That's funny as all get out, but let me take a serious side on that for a minute. Nobody knew Mike Leach would suddenly pass away and it was a terrible thing that happened. State didn't have Zac Selmon hired at the time and you had ding dong Bracky Brett in charge on an interim basis. It was kind of like an instinctive reaction type hire, but what else was there to do? It was a massive curve ball thrown at you and all you can do at that situation is react. There wasn't time to go through a proper coaching search to get the best coach you could get. Is there time to do that now? Yes there is and if a change is to be made, I don't think you'll see Zac Selmon settle.

Last night really wasn't a tale of two halves so to speak. It was more or less Co-Lin waiting to turn the afterburners on and they started that in the second quarter. The River has 8 quarters of football left and frankly I don't know why they want to drag it out another two weeks.

Hey I understand where you are coming from. West Point should still be the favorites out of 5A North until they get dethroned and that hasn’t happened yet. Their loss to Clarksdale wasn’t detrimental by any means. They just may not have the top seed, but to me that really doesn’t make any difference.

I will say this though, it’s going to be better for West Point if they can build off of a win instead of trying to search for answers in another loss. I don’t think the latter will happen because this is the time of year where things start to get figured out in The Point City.

Go get a dang win. That’ll be a place to start. It doesn’t have to be pretty because there’s no such thing as style points. Lafayette is usually a good ball club, but it should be within West Point’s wheelhouse to take care of business Friday night.

I was thinking this would be the year y’all would get a reprieve and maybe it still is. But you’re absolutely correct. A good football team will stop a vanilla offense any day. Sometimes you gotta shake things up LOL.

ULM is the only game they are favored in and even then it's not by much. ULM could very easily win the thing. If that game were to be played in Monroe, I think ULM would be favored.

FWIW, Will Hall checks in at #24 on the Coaches Hot Seat rankings. I'd say that's a pretty hot seat.

Even though it makes sense on paper, I certainly get the reservations on picking OM at Auburn. What does State need to do or who does State need to play in order to have a competitive game in Fayetteville? I'm having trouble finding a path for a State win. Maybe it's there, but it's severely camouflaged.

When was the last time Ole Miss won at Auburn? Has it been a while?
