WJ the edge on special teams?? WJ kick coverage is horrible and has been a couple years.?

I remember one year where region 5-4A had 7 of 8 teams with winning records in regular season. And the 6th and 7th teams had heated playoff teams from other divisions in their non-division games.

So apparently. There are a couple people claiming to have videos of the incident with the supposed WJ coach. One went to Facebook. They won’t post video to public. But the identified vehicle isn’t owned by any WJ coach. The laurel pd have a tag number. But as of now it does not seem anyone from WJ.

I imagine there will be a small news article on it after an arrest is made if it gets to that. But for now no one speaking from any party. Just texts and Facebook posts.

Someone identified as a WJ coach by witnesses, but they aren’t saying who, drive up to Wendy’s last night and ran over the order/menu sign and left the scene. Reportedly drunk. It’s not yet public who it was but Wendy’s has tape plus the witnesses. I can only imagine a warrant will be issued today. I can tell you that all of them, except Reynolds, are beloved by the kids and this will be a huge blow.

I’m a west fan and I had not all that much confidence in us winning. After what’s going on now, I have none.

Much the same with them and WJ. WJ went up a score or two then mid 2nd that rb started to torch WJ and the two started trading scores. West didn’t put it away till mid 3rd when the GC abandoned the run, probably because he realized they didn’t have time to catch up with how things were going, and they started throwing it. A couple drops was enough for WJ to put it away.

They need to be contacting some d line and corners taller than 5’5”. Im sure the smaller jasper, Covington, and smith county schools have some that could be available for the right offer. Possibly some from LAH that are supposed to be at county schools anyway but got conned into going there.

Everyone figured out our one dimensional running game. Also we had no wr’s worth a flip last year so. This guy was the number 2 wr from our 23 team as a 9th grader. Last year he was at FCSHS due to some daily things and having to live with relatives. He didn’t play football there. Next year our offense will be dangerous.

What’s crazy is laurel could be 4-6 make playoffs and run the table back to state. And their fans will ignore the obvious problems in the program.

That’s funny. They were talking do much noise pre season about how they would be a top 2 south team after moving up from 5A. Farther proof how bad 5A south is.

Just now reading tgus thread and seeing this post. My 9 year old concussed himself a month ago (we weren’t aware/didn’t notice the signs) then passed out while standing couple hours later and is about the scariest thing I can remember witnessing.

It could be a good game if Keyes doesn’t play. If he does then west has zero ability to stop him and Hattiesburg wins by a couple scores.

I said in another thread they have always had the talent and athletes to be dominant. But they have had crap coaching for a very long time. So bad in fact I don’t think anyone ever understood how bad. Now if you look at them under Carter, and then go look at his past head coaching jobs he hasn’t exactly been a great coach. This job fell in his lap after he hadn’t been a coach for a few years. I don’t know if there is any truth to it but I was told they contacted him for it because no one had applied for the job.
