I think the OC from Taylorsville is very interested. He might have a good shot at this one.
-
I hear that he is going to West Marion
-
He is notorious for applying for every job that comes open in the state. He has done that for years.
-
I have been hearing the same as of late
-
We are still hearing the the DC from Stone has been offered and accepted the job pending board approval tonight
-
Lane Brady was the OC and Gabe Hood was the DC
-
I guess we will just have to wait and see
-
Who is the guy on staff that would get it?
-
Any update or anything official?
-
Lane Brady will be the guy
-
Yeah, I bet the only guy that stays is the baseball coach. Both the OC and DC interview for the job and didn't get it so I'm sure they will leave. Those two plus the head coach and you are literally hiring an entirely new staff out of necessity
-
Board meeting is tonight. I'm not sure as to why the new coach would not be able to bring in his own staff. From what I understand, there is going to be a mass exodus of teachers at the end of this school year. I doubt any of the current staff would stay considering they didn't get the job. There was only 4 football coaches last year, one was the baseball coach.

So it begins.... AGAIN
-
The word from down here is that the DC from Stone County will be the next head coach at Tville
-
The beauty of the wing t is that it can be ran at a very high level with a not so great OL. Look at the line JDC has had in their last few championships. Very young, inexperienced, and undersized
-
Once again, I'm not disagreeing that the wing t wouldn't work at Quitman. If ran correctly, the wing t would work at most schools in Mississippi, but some jobs are more political and running the wrong system will get a coach fired. It makes no sense at all, but it's the world we live in
-
I agree because a good wing t offense is hard to stop, but I don't the players would be on board with running that kind of offense when all they have ever ran is spread. I don't think the community would like wing t either
-
He graduated from Heidelberg Academy not Quitman
-
It doesn't make a lot of sense to pass over to good coaches from the area. I can see passing over Higdon if he wouldn't consider running anything other than wing t.
-
Better question is where is the almighty Enterprise bulldogs???
-
I heard that Quitman went out of state and hired a guy from Georgia. Higdon and another state championship coach applied, but the AD was dead set on hiring this guy from out of state.
-
So did Lane Brady get the job yet?
-
How did the board meeting go or is it still happening next Tuesday?
-
Sometimes your home people treat you the worst

From what I understand, Taylorsville isn't that great of a job anymore. I heard that coaches are stuck teaching state tested classes all day, Smith County doesn't pay much, and there is serious administration problems there. Considering everything, I would be willing to bet that it would be hard for a head coach to hire a good staff. Looks like the only good thing is the talent they are returning from last year
