I’m just wondering how you expect it to get better if all you do is get on this page a bash the school, coaches, and administrators. Who would you hire to magically make Tville a great place?
-
That shows you just how clueless some people can be. There is no way one coach can do all of that and be successful enough to carry a team to south state. I’ve seen some bad coaches and the couple of Tville games I went to showed a different story. Most people think that if coaches aren’t jumping, hollering, and half way acting a fool that they are not a good coach.
-
They can’t be that bad because they went to south state back to back. I have seen a ton of great athletes carry a team, but it takes players and coaches to go that far. Tell us who you think should get it
-
I knew they don't pay very well, but I think there has to be something internal at Tville. I can't wrap my head around coaches not wanting to stay for more than 2 years with all the talent walking those halls. Any ideas on who the next guy will be?

Taylorsville is open again. Any insights on why the coach is leaving?

Well shed some light on who you think the final candidates are.
-
Are the top three candidates Jimbo Nowell, Teddy Dyess, and Nick Griffin?
-
That would be something if Jimbo ended up being the guy. I think he would win some games.
-
The last two guys might not have really won games, but they did win at building boys into great young men. Those guys didn't seem to have any character issues on their teams with basically that same players. That speaks volumes about those last two guys and their coaching staffs. At the end of the day, how a coach mentors and grows the players is what matters the most.
-
Nick worked with the head principal when they were both at Madison Central. Teddy was the head coach at Magee.
-
Lander is the head coach at Lumberton. I've heard Teddy and Nick specifically. Those two have a lot of connections to the admins at Magee
-
I think that could be a good fit for both parties. That would workout if/when consolidation happens. He would just go back to retirement and Simpson county wouldn't have any conflicts for the new head job of simpson county consolidated high school
-
I've heard that a certain retired coach is trying to go back to Magee for a second go at it.
-
That is true. I would still think that with the talent pool some big coordinator or smaller school head coach would take a chance to win big and land a big time job.
-
I wonder if these schools that have had head coach openings are being really slow or if they are struggling to find good candidates. Maybe they can seem to get the right applicant to be the next big splash hire that everybody wants???

I didn't say who the three coaches were. I said Perry County not necessarily Perry Central.
-
I heard two smith county coaches and three perry county coaches have applied for the Magee job. Interviews have already started.
-
That is true. I haven't heard a word from Magee or Newton. You would think those two places would have already made a hire.
-
Has anyone heard possible candidates or a timeline for the West Lincoln job?

Your 2nd point kills your entire argument and Vancleave didn't play Hattiesburg in the playoffs
-
Are saying that because you simply want a delta school to win it all or are you actually predicting Simmons to win it all?
-
I'm pretty sure the next stop for him is retirement. I doubt he would want those problems.
