Hazlehurst at JDC

We’ll have to tackle well and keep their qb from playing backyard ball…make them execute their offense. They’re very athletic as usual. They have big receivers and throw a lot of 50/50 balls so you’d have to think they’ll prob hit a couple of those. As for our offense I feel like we’ll move the ball but Hazlehurst is definitely a team that in order to beat them, we’ll have to play a clean game. If no one gets sick or hurt this week then this will be the healthiest we’ve been since the Columbia game

If we can contain the QB and play good defense as usual. We should be ok. Only thing worries me is that our history shows that we struggle with backyard football. It hard to prepare for it. Hazlehurst is good and very athletic. We should be able to move the ball. The toughness of the non district games have prepared us for the this situation. We definitely got to play a mistake free game.

The thing is y'all didn't really struggle against us (consider this a compliment) and Picayune is as backyard as backyard football can get.  I understand Hazlehurst has a good football team, but I don't see how they could come out on the winning side of this even on their best day.

I feel like we’ll win as long as we play our game and don’t jus completely go out and 💩 the bed. We’ll jus have to keep the big plays to a minimum and make them execute their offense and drive the field. I wish we could figure out our pass protection issues. We’re not as one dimensional as in the past and have shown when we have some time to throw that we can be very effective but more times than not the qb is either running for his life or laying on his back

It's hard to out coach Mancuso. You have come up with a great scheme when you playing him. And you must have the athletes to match up or be better than his players.

It should be a good one since it's at Jefferson Davis County. I give them jaguars a slight edge. But I think Hazlehurst has the players to match up with JDC. I don't know too much about their coach but I know Hazlehurst has some of the best players around the state and they played a very good Raleigh team.

My hat is off to Hazlehurst. They done what they needed to do to win. We was out played all around the field. We had chances to make it closer but didn’t. It’s called playing the game. They definitely wanted it more. Good luck the rest of the season!!

Definitely, good luck to Hazlehurst.  Hopefully they go win it all.  I have to admit I was a little bit surprised by the outcome but that was a tough 2nd round game.  Now here’s the question I need to ask.  Would Mancuso have any interest at all in assisting his high school alma mater with their football activities?  They seriously need some help there and it ain’t even funny.

Truly I tell you, no prophet is accepted in the prophet's hometown.
