East Central hosts Gautier. Vancleave hosts PRC with possible playoff implications depending on the rest of the schedule. Long Beach hosts West Harrison. Biggest games this week are GC vs Picayune and then EC vs Gautier. I think those are your 4 playoff teams. Obviously that depends on some possible upsets the following two weeks as EC and Vancleave will still have to play one another and it could be for a playoff spot depending on what happens between now and that last week. GC hosts Picayune and EC back to back then travels to Long Beach. Picayune plays at GC then hosts Long Beach then travels to Gautier in a big game. slicklizard Posted October 23, 2021 Share Posted October 23, 2021 Good game Hattiesburg. Not having a kicker cost us this game well that and TDs called back. Seriously I've got to get this off my chest. Hattiesburg holds, clips,facemask, push in the back, pass interference on every play to start the game. The refs call most of it, breaks up the flow of the game trying to sort it all out. Vance whines and whines and whines on every call. Later he starts whining when we are on offense after every positive play we have yelling they aint calling the game fair because of all the penalties called on them. We had several drives stalled because of his whining and a TD called back late for nothing. This isn't the first time 've seen him do it either. I'm starting to think he tells his players to commit all them fouls early to cry for phantom calls. It worked in this game. I guess whatever it takes to be the difference in a close game. I think the refs honestly got tired of calling so many fouls on their offensive line and just stopped doing it to avoid the harassment . Hattiesburg overcame some huge third and longs after they were penalized but a lot were missed or just let go. Hattiesburg fought hard and squeaked out the win over our much smaller team. Maybe we will get to play again. we have to lick our wounds and get ready for Laurel. GC QB went down On first series of the game. Took a shot to the knee and didn’t return. Freshman came in and played well but it was a tough task in game like that. He may be done. I’m sure he’ll get it checked out next week. Our freshman is talented though. We’ve been excited about him. Obviously a tough situation for him to come in but he put up 33 points on Picayune. Played well for the circumstances. The balloon kind of deflated for the guys when the QB went out though. I'm no math expert by any means, but how can Wayne co have a playoff spot clinched already but HHS does not and they have the same region record and has also given them their only region loss?
