Looks like Magee will be visiting  Enterprise in Round 1. With a date against JDC/St Stanislaus Winner vs Franklin County winner in round 2.

I believe you are mistaken: the MHSAA playoff bracket shows region 5 # 2 seed would play the winner of the region 7 #1/ region 8 # 4 seed Jefferson Co probably Perry Central in the 2nd round. If Enterprise reached 3rd round it would face probably JDC at home.

Enterprise most certainly can beat JDC.

Everytime you say something like this I just go back and read the Enterprise/JDC thread you made from last year and it’s rinse and repeat. You said this same exact thing last year and what was it 34-7 JDC and over by the start of the 2nd quarter. Let me guess, you’re going to say y’all run the same wing T offense so you’ll be able to stop it which you weren’t able to. You say Mize was an anomaly even though your offense was also shutdown by Union and outside of 2 drives was also shutdown by Clarkdale. There’s a reason why based off CalPreps you’re a 23 point underdog to Raleigh, 14 point underdog to JDC and Hazlehurst and if it came down to it which it won’t a 23 point underdog to Amory.

The brackets are not that hard to understand 1A,5A,6A have same brackets. 2 through 4A have same bracket. 1st round 1seed and 4 seed are matched up, 2 and 3 seed are matched up.     These games would be at 1 and 2 seed fields. Second round would have a 1 and 4 winner against an 2 and 3 winner from another region. Second round through North/ South home games are determined by number of away and home games. Ex. If a 4 seed beat a 1seed and the 2 seed won then the 4 seed would get the home game. Once you reach the North/South matchup the higher seed hosts, if both are the same seed then this year the higher region number would host. This was changed this way because a few years ago two teams from the same region played. The higher seed had played more home games so the lower seed team got to be home. This was not fair and was changed

Also I’m still trying to figure out what gives you so much confidence that Enterprise can beat teams like Raleigh, JDC and Hazlehurst. Midseason it was because y’all beat Quitman which as the season has progressed no longer looks like a quality win since they’re battling for a #4 seed in their region. Then it was because y’all beat Morton who had beaten Pearl which also doesn’t look like that great of a win anymore. You cherry picked one Raleigh game against Seminary which they still won 41-0 yet you say people need to stop mentioning the Mize game. People might actually think it was an anomaly if Enterprise didn’t have two other games where they struggled and lost. From what I saw in the Union and Clarkdale games is that Enterprise is a different team on the road where they’re 2-2(0-2 against teams with a winning record) average 3 more turnovers a game and score 16 less points a game on the road. Sounds like you better hope you don’t have to go on the road in playoffs.

If we stop Mr Football and slow down JDC"s running game and force them to pass we have a good chance. We probably have the best defense in 3A. Their QB threw three picks last week. My not be able to totally stop Hartzog but we can contain him

I get the same vibe from reading his post as I do when I get on FB and see someone selling a 1989 Ford Ranger, few scratches, new tires, 200K miles with original motor and transmission for $25K. Then follows it up with “no low balls I know what I got.”

Concerning the games this Friday night, I was told that Enterprise schools were closed 2 days this week due to a massive Flu outbreak in the community.

Any truth to this? and are other schools in the state dealing with a similar situation?

As these last region games determine playoff seeding, this could make a HUGE difference in some of the outcomes, if some teams were missing key players.

Then who drops back to 2A. I currently have 41 in 2A because 2 schools had the same 8-10 grade numbers last year. I couldn't see splitting them.

East Webster and St. Andrews are now my two highest 2A schools.  I am not sure what they are going to do if team 40 and 41 are tied.  But don't think there will be a tie.

Enterprise played terrible against Union. Enterprise had the Clarkdale gam won; should have gone into 4th quarter leading 21-0 or 17-0 and just gave the game away. Enterprise has not played a great game all year and the injuries have something to do with it. Lets just wait until the playoffs and see what happens. High school football is a funny game played by teenagers. Against Raleigh if Enterprise played good defense whipped Raleigh up front made it a low scoring game held Raleigh to two scores or less we would have a chance. Any football team can be beat.

Does that allow you play Forest Thursday or Friday. I know Raleigh and Bay Springs both were down 2 weeks virtual with no games. They were forfeited. Then again I think you could play Saturday or Monday if necessary.
