Not at all.

HOPEFULLY this team read too much about themselves (RAT POISON!) and work much harder this week to be better prepared for next weekend.

If OM plays next Saturday like today, Kentucky wins.

If Ole Miss plays more than 1 quarter like today's second quarter it won't be close. KY has no running game at all

A&M squeaks out a win over Arkansas.

Through 4 weeks it definitely feels like there’s a gap between Bama/Georgia and everyone else, but I’m not sure Tennessee isn’t the third best team in the league. They’re off next week and then have LSU and Bama, very curious to see how they do.

Shout out to USM, big win at Tulane tonight.

OM almost cracks the Coaches Top 10.  No 8 vs No 11 in Oxford this week.  Huge game, and OM will be guaranteed a Top 10 spot with a win.

Captain Obvious, have to win next week to get there.

Still, getting into the top 10 around mid season is one thing... finishing in the top 10 is a huge thing.

One thing is very evident. The instant transfer eligibility has created some inconsistent play around the country. A lesser talented veteran team has decent chance to beat an uber individually talented team that has been thrown together through the portal.

I think we will see this continue throughout the season. In fact, I will not be surprised if we end the season without an undefeated team. Obviously the big boys, Bama, UGA and Ohio State are still going to be there but it is not out the question that all three of them may drop a game during the season.

On another note, congratulations to USM on a very good win @ Tulane. I attended the very first Tulane-USM game in Hattiesburg in 1979. It was a great game that came down to the wire. Tulane   won 20-19. USM kicked a FG as time was running out. It appeared to be good but the officials ruled it no good. Because the clock was running they were still running to the end zone to get in position when the ball was kicked. Created a very controversial ending (that you would probably would not see today with replay technology). Both teams left it all on the field. It launched what became a good rivalry for 30+ years before Tulane moved on to greener pastures. But I hope they will still continue to play at least sporadically as they are so close it makes for a well attended game.

I have no feel for OM-UK whatsoever. I think both are probably a little overrated but still good.

If I’m not mistaken, Stoops has never beaten an SEC West team on the road. It’s also a weird factoid to me that this will be Kentucky’s first trip to Oxford since 2010 and they’ve been to Starkville half a dozen times since.

Joker Phillips and Houston Nutt were the head coaches the last time Kentucky played in Oxford. Lol.

KY is getting their suspended RB back for the Ole MIss game so they might have something of a running game (which has been non-existent so far).

I was at that 2010 Kentucky/OM game in Oxford, WOOF what a game.

OM won, but Kentucky would have won had a few more minutes been left in the game.

Entering this game, I felt the Nutt experiment was about to be over... I knew it leaving this game.

As a State fan I have a rule that I’ll only go to an Egg Bowl in Oxford if I’m 100% confident State is winning.… so it’s no coincidence that the 2010 Egg Bowl is the only time I’ve ever been in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.

KY-OM is an intriguing match up. At the LOS, I think UK is a better but OM is at home. UK manhandled FL in the 4th quarter on the road. This is obviously the first big test for OM but they have had 4 games to work out the kinks. The Tulsa game is a bit concerning because they really only played well for one quarter (though as noted , it was enough to win the game).
I am kind of like 83 here. I could see this game going either way. It may come down to turnovers and a big special teams play that decides this game.
