Dawg83 Posted September 18, 2024 Share Posted September 18, 2024 Ok let’s do this I guess: Florida -6 at MSU - surprisingly this game is not being played at the Oktibbeha County Landfill…. I guess there are enough unfortunate souls who have already bought tickets to this train wreck of a game. Florida is a total mess….. but State’s mess is bigger right now. I’m not saying State has zero chance, as we all remember Zook getting Croomed and this game has some similarities to that one… but how can you rationally pick State to win immediately following the program’s most embarrassing loss in at least 20 years? I think Florida wins comfortably, something like 38-21. Ole Miss is a 35 point favorite over Georgia Southern. Only question in this one is if OM keeps the streak going of not allowing a touchdown. Say what you want about the competition level but only allowing 9 points through three games is some seriously excellent defense. Tennessee -7 at Oklahoma - big game of the week and first ever SEC game for OU. I really like Tennessee’s roster this year and think they’ve been as impressive as anyone in the country so far. Vols win by 14 on the road. Arkansas at Auburn -3.5 - cannot trust Auburn offensively until I see more life from them. Hogs have shown enough offense under Petrino so far to make me think they get the road win here. USC -5.5 at Michigan - SC looked really good against LSU in the opener, this is their first Big 10 test. Michigan just made a QB change. Everything tells me SC is the better team….. and yet I think Michigan gets this one at home. Let’s call it trust issues I have with Lincoln Riley. Utah -2 at Oklahoma State - all depends on the health of Cam Rising to me. If he’s good to go, Utah wins. If not, OK State takes it at home. They might be better off keeping that money away from the heat source for the time being. At least get some fire extinguishers on the thing before money gets thrown at it LOL. Just kidding. Anywhere from a FL blowout to a State blowout would not surprise me but I think Florida most likely wins comfortably. Georgia Southern will back door cover at Ole Miss. But OM will win comfortably. TN, USC both win. Michigan is a terrible team compared to last year. They are parallel to State in that they both had zero starters returning and have a new HC. I fully agree those two games should be bigger challenges... you just never know how games will play out. "On paper", Ole Miss should finish 11-1 with a loss to Georgia.
