Harrison Central Head Man?

This one has been quiet since Cain stepped out. Probably because D'iberville is in the same school district and they needed to finish the hiring process for their head job first. Has anybody heard anything? I've only heard one name so far, the OC from Ocean Springs.

I have been told the DC on current staff is a big front runner as well. Kids love him and he has some community support.

I work for HCSD

This is the lead guy - he's been wanting this job for several years now and the whole school and team are behind him - we'll see

Yes, they should hire him strictly because the kids love him and the community supports him (which judging by attendance at HC games is very little support).  And people wonder why there is a preponderance of poor coaching in MS.

I do think having the support from players is important, but I agree with your point overall. This is a 6A program, with nice facilities and talent. They will draw some names I would imagine. Be a shame to pass them up for an assistant on staff.

Just saw on social media they are promoting OC Tony Myers to HFC.

Quite the Curveball from what was expected - I spoke to players while working there at HCHS last fall and they were expecting the DC to be the next guy ...

Now I wonder if the DC stays or not - I know he's a North MS native ...

I would not be surprised if he is let go similar to what I heard went down at St. Martin. OC gets job and the DC who applied/interviewed for the spot is let go.

Let go, or mutual parting? Usually when 2 coordinators interview for the job, the one who doesn't get it feels slighted and goes elsewhere. And the new HC knows the other coordinator wants his job. Just asking because I do not know.

I was told the DC at St. Martin was told his services were no longer needed and was let go. Absolutely could see that scenario you stated play out, I was just told he was let go.

I gotcha. I have seen both of those scenarios play out. That's why I was asking.
