Only problem I see would be if you split it up evenly, you’d have uneven regions for 4-1A. If you do how they propose, it’ll just be 1A that has uneven regions. I highly doubt the MHSAA would propose all this, accelerate a vote for April to potentially put it in place this year and then vote it down or to “see”. It would not surprise me at all fornthrm to have plan laid out and everything in place on paper ready to roll out. SBLive is an official partner with the MHSAA and MAC. I doubt they would post the story they did and it not be true. I think it’s all formality and it’s happening this year. I could be wrong, but math is math and it all adds up lol. Question will be, what numbers will they use? The count done to set up regions for 2021-2023 or 2021 October count? They typically come out with numbers in October and then by November come out with the classification breakdown for the following school year. I don't see anything accelerated. If they were going to do the same thing (numbers in October and breakdown in November) they would need to have the vote before then. I'm calling a count based on October 22' for the following year (23'-24'). Too many logistical problems to put this in place for next season. The football schedules would have to be completely scrapped. An April vote would probably mean a May breakdown, so schedules couldn't even be done until after that. No, the count will be on next year's numbers for the 23'-24' season.

What I am saying is that I believe they took this year's (October 1) numbers (they could use last count numbers from 2021-2023 too l if they wanted) and have most of everything in place already. Again, I do not see why SBLive would write and article and quote the MHSAA Director saying they were meeting in April to vote on rolling out 7A this upcoming season if they were not seriously considering doing it. Schedules would not take long to work out at all. Region games would already be worked out for you, then you have to schedule 5-6 non-region games. I have a good friend who was an AD in Louisiana for almost 20 years. I asked him about this situation and he said scheduling games would not be an issue. Look at how quickly teams picked up games this year during COVID. Teams would fill their schedules within a month at the worst. So realistically by June, everything would be worked out to go into 7A come August. It really is not as hard as some make it out to be. MHSAA would not be bringing this for a vote if it was not a serious, serious possibility. Yes, someone already posted the link. SBLive released an article with MHSAA Director quoting the vote being in April to start 7 classes for the 2022 season. With how close the relationship between SBLive and the MHSAA has become, it makes me believe there is SERIOUS steam behind this happening sooner rather than later.
