Picayune outside of a year or two in the last 2 decades just seems to reload year after year. When the new count occurs next month for 7 classes, where do you think Picayune lands? I have seen some saying 6A and others saying a larger 5A

I think it will be borderline.  I wouldn't be surprised either way.  I feel like we'll be a large 5A for sure, but who knows how the numbers will shake out .

You know that kid is starting to grow on me a little. He’s got a humorous side to him and that could be worked with.  I think with a little guidance and house breaking he could be an asset to our little 5A group. 
The other one needs a detox and meditation to get over his issues I think.

Oh I do too. I was just trying to get a gauge for at the moment as of week 2.  I see Florence is 2-0, Natchez is 2-0. I know they schedule may be weaker. I did not expected Florence to be 2-0

I said it after last night’s game I don’t think we will face a more talented team than OG. I know we’re in a loaded region but I feel good about our chances. That’s not saying anything bad about HHS, LHS,WJ or anyone else in our region. But I bet if you would have asked the OG faithful in warmups they would have expected a pretty easy game. These WC kids and the coaches had a heck of a game plan. A couple of key injuries and the turnover bug turned the game. OG did what good teams do they took advantage of the mistakes.

WC is about to become the WC of the Boyles days. After two weeks I'm not sure if OG is as good as some thought they were going to be though. Almost losing to Harrison Central and WC just gave it away at the end. They have a lot to improve on if they wanna get by Brandon or Ocean Springs.

At this point WC doesn’t have the caliber players Boyles did that’s what people are missing. It takes a special coach to get the kids to play above their ability and that’s what’s happening. Someone from QG asked on here yesterday who’s the standout players for WC. I told them the truth there’s nobody that’s going to jump off the page at you, but they play as a unit pretty damn good.

#4 scored 2 tds last night at bassfield - 1 receiving and 1 rushing. i would like to see him return a kickoff. shifty guys like him do well returning kickoffs.

What our coaches put on the field last night was a work of art compared to that shade tree coaching that we have been subjected to . Side by side OG should have killed us just on size alone but our kids had way more fight but our youth showed in the end which is a part of the game too.This was a hard hitting playoff type execution from the start. I think people dogging on Oak Grove  are wrong. They are clutch and you can’t coach that. A team either has it or they don’t. They will have a say in who gets the trophy . They have the best skill people in the state as far as I’ve seen.

 

Wayne County is 70% Sophomores that played last season and the other part Jrs and Srs. Jalen Jones is a sophomore, and I’m just going to say it , is the best player on the team and the best wide receiver I’ve ever seen on our team. I wanted to win but today there was a smile on my face. These kids believe they can line up and play with anybody and are getting better every game. How we respond when we go to Pascagoula is going to be another learning experience. They will be down 14 pts getting off the bus and will need to play like it from the opening whistle .

Most importantly for the first time in a long time we have a man at the top that knows what he has and how to get the most out .of it .  He recognizes the path to put more gold behind the glass across the street and is hungry to do it. I feel like I’ve got chips in the game again honestly I had forgotten what it was like.
WABO1 showed me where he had bushogged a lane down to the old bus today it’s pretty grown up through it. I just looked at him. He said “I didn’t say nothin, we are just here in this place I cleaned out. “ I shook my head no and we turned and walked back up the hill but I swear I heard that bucket of rust squeak as we left. As I got in my truck seat to leave , there was a sheet of paper on my truck seat. It was a resume from two years ago . It was old busted heads from the Quitman game and highlighted was his hobbies. He knows how to restore dilapidated antique cars. I looked up in confusion and WABO1 was sitting on his porch swinging staring out into the fence row. IDK we are all older now.

Coach Hankins is the kind of guy you want to line up behind and follow his lead . I have to say I was skeptical because of prior “decisions “ but the new administration took the lead and hit a home run. He has brought us back the right way and is making great people out of our players. He is making a positive difference with his position. A real man.

Deonte I guess you’ll have to put Vancleave and West Harrison at 3 & 4 as of right now.  That George County loss to Greene County seems awful puzzling .
