How many inches did everyone get?

Sleet/snow? 

 

A tad over 2 inches here so far, almost all sleet. It's slightly snowing out now, very slightly. 

 

I've seen a lot on bookface that others in the area got much more, we were lucky I suppose.

Starkville got zero snow, not much precip at all honestly. Some ice accumulation now

Just south of Aberdeen it’s been sleeting for about an hour.  That’s really the first we’ve gotten, but it’s probably enough to have employees call in tomorrow.   Gonna be a fun week catching up.***

What is snow? LOL!  My truck was iced over this morning if that counts for something.  Snow in Pearl River County, especially South of Picayune is definitely an anomaly.

As is usually the case, the lingering dangerous ice spots on the roads in many areas, are where the sun didn't hit yesterday. The full sun areas are gone. I know they all couldn't be remedied, but many of the areas could be eliminated by removing trees further back. I know it has to do with right-of-way in part. But this is a danger that cost lives. Maybe not a large number, but at least some. I don't see why we couldn't get something done on this. But I guess I do know. It would take some government leadership and cooperation. 

 

In some cases it would help with power outages and accidents with downed trees after storms also.
