Dubaction
They ain’t got enough offense for OG. After watching them in the state title games that’s my honest opinion Edited December 9, 2023 by Dubaction

I would say either might beat OG one out of ten games. OG was really good this year. Had one loss against Brandon but then turned around and beat them on the road in the playoffs. OG is the number 1 team this year. Similar to 2008 when some folks ranked Noxubee County over Meridian because they were undefeated even after Meridian ended SP’s win streak that year. Sorry but no cigar there. OG , WJ and Louisville are 1-2-3. And this coming from a Meridian fan and alum who doesn’t like OG but I have great respect for their football program. doyouevencoachbro
I am not a louisville Homer but I do know a decent amount about HS football. Look at Louisville's body of work.
Dubaction
Don’t care about body of work I’m looking at who looked like the best team at the end of the year. OG or arguably WJ looked like the two best teams. Body of work got all of those teams to the ship.
Bigcat51
If anyone really payed attention to Louisville this season you would know that Louisville dialed their offense down a notch at the beginning of the playoffs! Louisville turned mostly to the running game to control the tempo of the game! We didn’t see all of the explosive plays like we did in the beginning of the season. Louisville basically took advantage of the clock and played defense. Smart on coach Shorter’s end and the plan worked to get that 12th gold ball!
Dubaction
Fast paced offenses with great QB play gave OG the most problems this season. WJ didn’t have to play anything close to a style like OG, Brandon, or Starkville this year but eye test wise they were really good defensively. Better get used to it because I highly doubt the MHSAA is going back to 6 or 5 classes ever.
