A lot of places have gone quiet. The ice across the state has probably slowed down the progress. I assume them, Neshoba, North Panola, New Hope, Magee and Newton should be close to make an announcement. Those have been open for a good bit now. I could see Jenkins but not Nick, Perry County is home to him. Honestly after the debacle year he had at Perry Central I couldn't see him getting a job like Magee. Smith county don't pay nothing and they steal from the booster clubs when they raise money. People leaving the county cept in Mize. People moving the kids out in Taylorsville. Taylorsville just had half a grade move out. They ain't in that group. Ain't gone be no kids in a few years. They all goin to Mize, WJ, Stringer SB,, & LC. North county lost a ton of people last census. That ain't changing. Ain't nothing here for people. Hell I bet 1/5th to 1/4th the student enrollment there live in Jones County and should be at west jones anyway. WJ shut down kids going to Tville long time ago. Now they more living in Tville district going to WJ. Lot people just moving to WJ district too. But to do that they would also have to have stopped the ones living in southwest jones county with seminary zip code from going to seminary. And some in ovette going to petal and some to Perry central via runnelstown. And ones in areas of Sharon and shady grove with stringer zip code going to stringer. And vice versa, kids within a distance of the county line on some roads but in other counties can come to jones county schools. None of that has been stopped at all.
