Tiburon
Nobody seems to have the slightest interest in this one. Strange given it determines playoff seeding in region 4-6A and will affect region 3-6A playoff match ups. This is 2 capable teams that have a legit shot to beat whoever they meet in round 1. Wareaglefan1us
I will say GC they are all back on the same page and Knight is a difference maker. However Pascagoula’s QB is coming off of a record setting game of his own. You’re absolutely correct both of these teams could make a run

Well the no.2 seed will for sure beat Terry. But a George Co/West jones or a George Co/Hattiesburg rematch is surely possible.
maroontide06
Strange weather phenomena happen at Goula, whether it's a monsoon or a high noon skillet fry. I don't know if weather will play a factor in this one or not, but based off of seeing both teams I feel like George County should win this one fairly comfortably. Prince of Darkness
Huge game!!! Winner gets to stay away from WJ or H'burg!! Loser gets to make a road trip that will likely end their season in the 1st round!! Leaning towards GC, but War Memorial in Goula can be a tough place to play. War Memorial hasn't been a lion's den in decades and the last era of consistently packing the stands was '87 and '88. These days the home side is about a third full most games. coastfootballfanman
It was a heck of a ballgame.. Two solid teams went at it.
Archer
Deuce Knight. I've not seen a better down field thrower in forty years of watching high school football. He destroyed Pascagoula outside the hashes with precision all night (which begs the question why Pascagoula insisted on press coverage), throwing off his back foot several times under heavy pressure and delivering dimes. The bad news for GC is their defense is a wet paper bag.

The bad news for GC is their defense is a wet paper bag. Defense is banged up. Both ILBs are hurt but playing through it. Lost a starter on DL a few games back. Bradley didn't play on the backend. The defense has carried this team all season. The offense definitely picked up it's end tonite. Turnovers continue to be an issue for the offense. Another turnover that led directly to a TD for Goula tonite. I'm not real sure what the number is this year but there has been multiple and KO coverage is getting better but not where they want it to be I'm sure. The coaches will get that worked out though.
