4a state playoffs

That was still kinda hard to understand. Yes Caledonia has caught some breaks with their bracket but it’s the playoffs where anything can happen and they’ve done what it takes to advance. From what I read they were also without a few players against Ripley. I’ll add that I guess having an easy bracket makes up for playing in arguably the hardest regions in 4A. Certainly in the north.

no one doubts that and no one thinks they will win, however they are playing in the 3rd round for the 3rd year in a row.  Most of us do not care if they had an easy road, it is a pretty significant accomplishment for a team that was everyone's homecoming game.

Looking to be clash of the titans for the state title unless a crazy upset happens. 14-0 vs louisville vs 14-0 columbia. Going to be a tough end to the season for one of these teams

Hey don’t count out Poplarville just yet.  I totally get your viewpoint here and I don’t necessarily disagree, but it ain’t over till it’s over.

Seems so.  What type passing game does Columbia have? If the OL can protect the QB then maybe they can be productive against the wildcat D that way

Columbia has a VERY good qb and wrs. Playmakers all over the field. Their rb is dynamic, and oline is huge.

Poplarville is a rematch from south state 2 yrs ago. Pville runs the wing T as good as anyone, very well coached.

*Pop runs the single wing better than anyone.

They do streaming, but $15 a game and $150/season is a bit much when nearly every other school offers it free: https://poplarvilleschools.org/2020/09/17/phs-football-streaming-package/

Columbia probably has one of the best streams in the state. Its usually free but i believe someone said theirs is $5 per playoff game.

Watching Columbia since round 1 their passing game is above average. Their Qb gets rattled under pressure. They have a couple weapons on the outside but the key to the game is stopping #8 Fortenberry. If they make it through the next round Louisville will potentially shut them out!
