hasbeen67
Oklahoma was close late with Kansas. They've not been very convincing in their wins.

Chokelahoma is Chokelahoma, we all know who they are. It will happen soon enough... almost happened today.

Bulldogs4
Cincy struggled @ Navy for a 7 point win. Bama ends up winning big over UT in a game that stayed closer than most thought it would.
MSTSatchmo
Good win for State. Vandy absolutely sucks though. 13 different players had a catch for State. Rogers did a good job of taking what Vandy was giving him for the most part. Vandy had 5 first downs and just 9 rushing yards.
MSTSatchmo
What about that Wake Forest/Army game. WF had 70 points with only 17 minutes TOP. Insane.
rebmus
It was nice to see Ole Miss retire Chad Kelly's number Saturday.
Bulldogs4
Good one RM :). State with a good win over Vandy. But you all are right that Vandy is bad. We still had too many penalties and turnovers as well. Kentucky should be a good game. But we absolutely have to play much cleaner to win this game. And it is very much winnable. However if we help them like we did last year, we definitely have no chance.
rebmus
B4, I started to go with CJ Johnson's number... since it's a sore subject for some MSU fans. Ha No doubt MSU's win over Vandy is a good win. While Vandy is bad, MSU handled the game easily. 39 point road win over an SEC team? Those don't happen often for Ole Miss/MSU type programs, those are reserved for Georgia/Alabama type programs. I hate to see that, once again, Ole Miss and State are playing at the same time next weekend. Ole Miss/Auburn and Kentucky/MSU should both be really good games to watch. s1nglewing
Is there any good reason that Vanderbilt stays in the SEC? They haven't been consistently good since the 1920's and only have four winning seasons in the last 50 years or so

Sure... but Ole Miss and MSU could likely be booted also from the SEC if we go down that road.
Bulldogs4
Vandy still belongs in the SEC.
Bulldogs4
Teams with high academic requirements have and continue to be successful around the country. Stanford, Notre Dame, the service academies, to name just a few. I agree that in football, Vandy faces a tough hill. But James Franklin was able to be competitive and win while he was there. So it is difficult but not impossible. Saban has skewed the conference with how Alabama dominated the last 13 years but when he retires, I think the conference will be more competitive and that should even help Vandy to climb up the pole of competitiveness.
