MSTSatchmo
And Clemson tied with NC State at 14 in the 4th. What’s up with Clemson’s offense?

Ha I'm wondering if Wake Forest or Louisville actually win the ACC this year?? IF NC State can pull off this upset, their chances are just as good as Wake/Louisville. With the exception of Vandy, the SEC only gets more difficult from here out, including UK. LSU is not good.
MSTSatchmo
Auburn comes from behind for the big win 34-24.
rebmus
NC State upset Clemson in 2OT. Auburn came back and won in the final minute. That 34-24 final score doesn't indicate, at all, how close this game was. Auburn took the lead with 45 seconds left on a 4th and goal. Auburn got a pick 6 right after that to make the game look like it wasn't so close.

Bulldogs4
The good We run 88 plays to their 51 TOP - 36-24 FD’s 29-15 150 more yards of offense Now to the bad 3 big plays for them for TD’s 2 turnovers to 1 for them One TO leads to their other score and one prevents us from scoring or at least having an opportunity to score. 1 missed FG all leads to a 3 point loss. Frustrating to say the least. I really do not know what to think. We are good enough to bad and bad enough to be good like one of you have already stated. Why can’t the 4th quarter team show up earlier in the game? NC State beats Clemson who is obviously not at the same level they have been over the recent years But they are still Clemson and it is a good win for NC State. Just shows how unpredictable college football is. ARKy is for real though I have said from the beginning that A&M was way overrated. I don’t expect it but I would not be surprised if we beat A&M next week.

I also expect this to be a close game. MSU's D is stiff against the run and short passes. LSU had open receivers deeper than ~12 yards a good bit today, Johnson missed a lot of passes in the first half that would have blown the game open. A&M's offense seems to think throwing over 6ish yards is against the rules or something.
MSTSatchmo
The penalty State had for jumping over the blocker on a punt should not happen. That’s just not smart at all. I believe that penalty lead to the TD that gave LSU 28 points. Arkansas looked legit, but they will need Jefferson to be a threat against the better teams. A&M is just A&M. Insanely talented, but never ready for the next step.
hasbeen67
I kind of like the way Arkansas looks. To me they play aggressive and with passion but under control. They seem kind of old school.

Those will be the biggest hyped two games next weekend. Arkansas/Georgia may well be a top 10 matchup.
Bulldogs4
Imagine the melt in Georgia when they lose to Arkansas. That will be quite funny to see. OM beating Bama wouldn’t surprise me either. Actually I like OM to win this game. Just a gut feeling there. But I am going to go ahead and say it. Arkansas beats UGA unless the SEC officiating crew protects UGA which would not surprise me either. The conference is good at protecting certain teams in certain games and this will be one of those times. We will see.
MSTSatchmo
I know it’s Vandy, but UGA gave up 4 first downs today. If Jefferson isn’t playing, heck if he is playing, UGA can shut down the run I believe. The worst thing Bama could do before playing OM is play a high school team that won’t hit back. The best thing for OM was giving Kiffin an extra week to prepare for Bama.

rebmus
This weekend's games were, for the most part, boring on paper. It's been quite a fun day of watching, surprisingly. #4 Oklahoma barely escaped with a 16-13 win at home over West Virginia. #7 A&M lost at #16 Arkansas. #9 Clemson lost at home to NC State. #14 Iowa State lost at Baylor. #20 Michigan State was taken to OT by Nebraska before winning. #22 Fresno State needed to come back to win vs UNLV. #23 Auburn needed to come back to win vs Georgia State. #25 Kansas State lost at Oklahoma State. Dawg83
Yeah next week should be really juicy. Probably the most interesting week on the schedule to this point, at least in the SEC. Both MS teams go into the week playing with house money, albeit with different stakes involved. A loss is expected for both, but a win is not totally out of the question. Ole Miss has more to gain with a win but State probably needs their win more.
rebmus
#21 North Carolina lost at Georgia Tech. The ACC has some decent teams, I don't see any of their teams being top 10 or even close to top 10 right now.
Bulldogs4
UTSA scores 17 unanswered fourth quarter points to defeat Memphis 31-28. Why I am not surprised? Kind of expected it. With the COVID hangover and the transfer portal, this years unpredictable scores are going to continue through the season. Buckle up as it looks like it is going to be a fun and frustrating ride this year.
pancho
MSU isn't good enough to have mistakes on special teams and still win. The D is respectable other than safety play, I'm not sure whats going on with the back end. I'm now leaning toward the offensive issues are directly related to lazy and don't give a crap WR route running. This hurts Rogers and really makes the O line look bad.The walk on receiver 24-Ford and austin williams were the best guys out there yesterday. I just don't know if they will get it together this year.

And if the voters are being honest, there are 5 SEC teams that are 10 of the best teams in the country. Bama, UGA, UF, OM and Arkansas. Oklahoma is barely top 10, at best. Iowa and Penn State have big wins that are looking less impressive also.

I've always said these polls shouldn't start until after the 1st or 2nd Saturday in October, it's a lot of guessing. Arkansas up to #8 in the AP and #11 in the Coaches Poll. OM moved to #12 in both polls. Arkansas and Ole Miss both have chances to prove their worth next weekend.
