Rebel Bert
The link to reclassification was sent to principal emails today. If necessary have superintendent, principal, and athletic director meet to make sure is feeled out correctly and submitted with September's enrollment by September 21st, 2026. Last day to update form is September 28th, 2026.
Rebel Bert
Just my guess is you avoid dealing homecoming parades and Friday game preparing by getting the info sent in on a Monday. It will be interesting to see how the 1.5 multiplier changes some schools classification. Also those who gained and those lost kids that puts them in a different classification up or down. Well, I hope the MHSAA asks the MDE to verify these numbers and don't just leave it up to the "good ole boys" to report honestly.
pancho
I'm hearing that Saltillo and Lafayette may swap classes, Corinth will stay 4A and Pontotoc will drop down to 4A, Ripley and North Pontotoc will drop down to 3A. lawd at the rumors.
Chunky6617
I really think people need to check the numbers that Heidelberg turns in. There is no way that school is that close to 1A numbers.
pancho
I guess the days of moving kids from one room to another to create the look of more students are long gone.
Raiders 10
I heard Amory might be going back down to 3A, Corinth might be going back to 5A that what I heard

Corinth admin has told me this morning that they feel they will remain 4A.
Raiders 10
somebody going to have to leave 4A if Pontotoc do comeback to 4A and Corinth staying in 4A
pancho
Ripley and possibly North Pontotoc just depending how all the numbers fall.
coastfootballfanman
Hearing Hancock will be moving up to 7A. May be a log jam in Region 4-7A

That is the thing, I am hearing none of them are expected to be down low enough to drop. West Harrison and St. Martin are the only two remotely close but I am hearing they both think they are squarely staying 7A. Edited 2 hours ago by coastfootballfanman I cannot spell. One of the coast schools who is in Region 4 7a would get bumped up to Region 3 7a if Meridian was to drop. If Hancock goes 7a that is 8 coast schools in 7a. One goes up to possibly replace Meridian you still have 7 schools in Region

We will be stuck with 7 again in Region 4 and likely either HC, West harrison, or Hancock be sent to Region

I know George County will appreciate it. If I had to take a guess, I would think Hancock would be in Region 3-7A to replace Meridian and the reason why I say that is because Hancock was in Region 3 with us back when we were in the 7A equivalent of today back in '03 and '04. I'd love to see another go with them, because having 7 in the Region is an absolute nightmare for scheduling.

That very well could happen if 7A gets back to 24 teams.

Doubtful, their new rule for allowing the 7/5 split will keep 7 on the coast I'm sure.
