The link to reclassification was sent to principal emails today. If necessary have superintendent,  principal,  and athletic director meet to make sure is feeled out correctly and submitted with September's enrollment by September 21st, 2026. Last day to update form is September 28th, 2026.

Just my guess is you avoid dealing homecoming parades and Friday game preparing by getting the info sent in on a Monday. It will be interesting to see how the 1.5 multiplier changes some schools classification.  Also those who gained and those lost kids that puts them in a different classification up or down.

Well,  I hope the MHSAA asks the MDE to verify these numbers and don't just leave it up to the "good ole boys" to report honestly.

I heard Amory might be going back down to 3A, Corinth might be going back to 5A that what I heard

Pontotoc may drop to 4A. Corinth admin has told me this morning that they feel they will remain 4A.

Hearing Hancock will be moving up to 7A. May be a log jam in Region 4-7A

If that is the case someone on the coast could go to region 3 if Meridian happens to drop to 6a

Who on the coast would get kicked back down to 6A?

That is the thing, I am hearing none of them are expected to be down low enough to drop. West Harrison and St. Martin are the only two remotely close but I am hearing they both think they are squarely staying 7A.

What’s the cutoff looking like for 1A-2A-3A

Nobody would go down to 6a. One of the coast schools who is in Region 4 7a would get bumped up to Region 3 7a if Meridian was to drop. If Hancock goes 7a that is 8 coast schools in 7a. One goes up to possibly replace Meridian you still have 7 schools in Region 4

We will be stuck with 7 again in Region 4 and likely either HC, West harrison, or Hancock be sent to Region 3

So if Meridian drops to 6A, then I would assume George County would move to Region 4 in 6A.

That is what I would think as well. I think the movement would be Hancock to 7a A region 4 team moves to Region 3 to replace Meridian and George Co goes to Region 4 6a to replace Hancock.

I really don't think that would be bad.  I know George County will appreciate it.  If I had to take a guess, I would think Hancock would be in Region 3-7A to replace Meridian and the reason why I say that is because Hancock was in Region 3 with us back when we were in the 7A equivalent of today back in '03 and '04.

I'd love to see another go with them, because having 7 in the Region is an absolute nightmare for scheduling.
