I'm not familiar with it. They seem to have had some good runs on record

After they won back to back titles and Stockstill leaving they seem to have fallen off quite a bit
Rebel Bert
Hiring young coaches looking for a bigger payday. Along with increased crime in Scott County. I imagine some of it might be the wife gets a job at Dr's office or hospital in Rankin County or Jackson area.

Are they going up or down in enrollment ?

Its going close but I believe they squeek in at the bottom of 2A tholis fall numbers. That tells me their losing and Lake has been gaining. Rebel Bert
Scott County/Forest Municipal #'s Fall 24. Fall 25 Forest. 341. 343 Lake. 170. 217 (3A) Morton. 382. 384 Sebastopol. 130. 136 Scott Central. 192. 200 Fall 2024 #'s turned in for Reclassification currently. Fall of 2025 #'s 8th-10th grades for Reclassification Fall of 2027. I want to say the falling away in numbers if any comes from 2 to schools: 1) Possibly East Rankin losing Forest area students. 2) Newton County School District has put a halt to students around Conehada area driving to Decatur a few years ago. Lake can be drawing from Newton City Schhols west of Newton.
Rebel Bert
Scott Central probably has a coaching problem or a coaching scheme. Perhaps they are not buying into the coaching style. Superintendent turnover may also be a problem county wide with salaries. You can expect coaches looking for a higher payday especially if spouse can make more money working in Rankin or Madison Counties hospitals or doctor offices, etc. I am saying not all spouses are teachers also.
