Green was familiar and a good fallback option but, yes, he better have a good offensive staff in the works. My thought as well. Especially if the initial list of interested parties is true. Makes you curious if the fell through due to some terms that were offered. Such as, keeping the mast guys staff.
coastball
Feels like they went with a comfortable name. I think Green has connections there if I'm not mistaken. I wish him well
coastfootballfanman
Hard for me to believe out of a rumored 70+ applicants, that was the best 5-6 they could have interviewed and selected. He is a great coach who very well could do a great job. From what I was told, this Green was the selection months ago and this all was formality. I would give this hire a B if I had to grade it. Fair assessment. In my opinion, Pascagoula is one of the better jobs in this State. The pool Harrison Central chose to bring in seems average as well. We will see what Biloxi is doing soon enough. From what I hear it’s a two man race.

By making this hire they've essentially made the OC position one of uttermost importance. That's a position they've got to get right. If they do that, it's a solid hire. What's the scoop on the Harrison Central pool of applicants? I only heard Trahan might apply

They did a heck of a job with that 2019 Picayune team, granted that offense was so explosive but they still had to coach the defense up. I'm curious to see where they end up. slicklizard
I don't know what to think about this hire. I hoped they would hire a QB guy because I felt like that's been missing there and would next level them. Sometimes defensive guys just want the defense back out there and offense becomes an after thought . Gulfport defense was freaking rough but the title was delivered by a QB coach . Did Fant not have interest ?

Did Fant not have interest ? Fant is content with living and coaching in Vancleave. Green is hiring someone from Bramlett's staff (not Lampley) to coordinate the offense at Pascagoula.
