NoWammies
Only thing missing from this weekend if you’re an Ole Miss fan was a Golding shark emoji on X and a Moncrief phone booth pic. Got it couple hours ago.

As a total guess from what little we’ve seen, I’ll throw out a few: Texas is currently ranked #7/9… I don’t think they will finish in the top 20. I wouldn’t bet on Ole Miss finishing top 4 at all- I’d love to be wrong on this one. I feel good that Ole Miss will be in the discussion of top 12 playoff teams, and kind of like the chances of being one of the last at large bids. Notre Dame has 2 early losses but runs the table to make the playoffs- I’d love to be wrong here also.

But did he mention what we would have done had we scored a TD in OT? I feel like it was obvious we would have gone for two and try to win it there. Our defense was gassed. Anyone else know or have any thoughts about that? Most of the time at home you play for the tie and OT but in this particular case, going for two would have seemed to be the right decision. I would’ve gone for 2 there because the defense had nothing left in the tank. In my experience with watching Lebby as State’s coach for 17 games now, I think that’s probably what he would’ve done. Dawg83
I have no clue what to make of the SEC right now. If you wanna put Ole Miss number 4 in the country for now that’s fine…. Do I think they are good enough to win it all? Not really…. But do I think could they win the SEC Title? I mean that’s a definite maybe. I am not sure where exactly the national title contenders in the SEC are at the moment. I don’t think there is a single SEC team I would pick to beat Ohio State or Oregon right now. Miami is dang good too I just don’t trust their coach-QB combo. But that’s my point… it’s different in the SEC currently. The best SEC team may merely be a borderline Top 5 overall team this year. There is definitely more than one game remaining on their schedule that they can lose, and so far their wins haven't been very impressive
NoWammies
They still have to play Tulane as well who before the Ole Miss game was trending as the GO5 playoff team. If North Texas can get by USF next week they have a good path to it with only having to play Navy at home and skipping Tulane and Memphis until the championship game.
