BrickCity
Kaden Irving from Gautier But I think as football moves to pass heavy offensive schemes, his record could possibly be broken in the next few years

Wareaglefan1us
Drexler Johnson from Wayne County is still in the top five career TDs in the state. He may be the best on field leader I’ve watched

coastfootballfanman
He was ahead of his time back in the late 80's but Shane Matthews was a guy that really impressed me as a 9-10 year old kid. Damarious Bilbo was another one that absolutely blew me away with his abilities. Modern era would probably be Jimmy Johns or Bray Hubbard in my opinion.

Speaking to natural ability, Damarius Bilbo and myself graduated the same school year. The summer before our senior year, we were both at Boys State at Co-Lin CC. A group of us watched him take a knee on the 30 yard line on the football field and throw the ball, landing all the way in the far end zone 70+ yards away. Was incredible to watch. Seems a bit far-fetched considering that people like Brett Favre could only go about 70-75 with a four or five step lead up

Longest recorded throw is 76 yards by Randall Cunningham, I have no doubt guy had a strong arm but he did not throw it 70+ from a knee

longhorn75
Tyler Russell, beat South Panola Dylan Favre: those stats were insane. Also put St. Stanislaus football on the map. Myles Brennan Steve McNair Jason Campbell Cam Akers Favre was good, but I believe he ran the veer and didn't throw the ball much. Gardner Minshew

He was actually recruited as a possible running back or defensive player, though when he showed up in Hattiesburg I think they quickly realized what they had. Better coaching and concentrating on passing the ball made him better, and once he hit the field that first game, it was history. I’m just saying that the Farve I saw playing high school ball wasn’t great.

Probably a little bit before your time but thru the late '70s to the mid '80s the Picayune Maroon Tide had 3 QBs go play at D1 schools Danny Jackson started 4 years for the Nasty Bunch at USM when they had really good teams. Bobby Junkin lettered 4 times and started 3 years at Mississippi State. Bobby Bounds won a state championship in '86 and went on and started 4 years at East Texas State. That being said Jackson and Junkin played DB and Bounds set many records at ETSU at QB.
