I used to really enjoy content from MSGridiron…. Doesn’t seem like they’re in much of a hurry to cover high school football these days though.

OG is used to deep post season runs and being on the big stage. Last season was an outlier.

Who can give me some insight on MRA? I don’t keep up with private school ball outside of when we played Greenville Christian and that was a rare case of talent for them that year.

I’m not entirely sure but I’m optimistic. We’ve been pretty competitive against OOS opponents the last couple of years. I can’t see any other year where Causey would schedule a game of this magnitude if he didn’t think he had the talent/athletes to pull it off. But we might get badly outcoached.

Much more talented than 2 of those teams especially the Plumlee team. The team that beat Oxford in Jackson is close but none of those teams had nearly the amount of players with D1 looks and offers. Hell we have a Junior LB that hasn’t started a down get a Tulane offer a month ago. The question is will they end up being the best cohesive unit. That’s what matters most.

I usually don’t make very bold predictions about my home town heroes…but OG should come out of the south…barring injury. Probably the most confident I’ve been in years about it. Causey couldn’t ask for more talent than he has this year.

I’m not mad at most of this. I usually don’t care for Cal polls for that matter. I do think Wayne County should be the 2nd or 3rd ranked team in 5a. 6A north is gonna be really fun to watch this year.

Even still.. they shouldn’t and most likely wouldn’t hold 7 state championship games at a high school. If it’s not one of the big 3 they will play at Veterans.

People don’t consider this when crapping on someone’s logo or uniforms lol. It’s hard to be authentic these days.

That’s not a dark horse. That’s a just a team that improved from the previous year. A dark horse is a sneaky threat to make a deep playoff run or win a title that we wouldn’t automatically think of.

I plan on checking out the stream for that if it’s up. Slidell is usually pretty decent. I’m actually a little surprised you guys don’t schedule them more often for a regular season cross state matchup.
