Clearly I’m falling out of touch because I didn’t know either.

1. Hilarious that he’s announcing this on social media like he’s committing to a D1 college 2. Even funnier that he’s actually originally from the area he’s transferring back to.

Loyalty? Man this is high school football. That kid probably hasn’t even been at YOUR school for a full year. Sounds like he’s more loyal to the coach than he is whatever school he decides to attend. Again a lot of this sounds silly when kids move in and out of schools every year and you have benefited from it in similar fashion.

I’m not arguing the rule if its written. But who are you to say what’s best for the kid and what’s not? I’m just curious to know if you guys simply want to see a rule enforced or if you’re still just salty about losing your head coach to Gulfport. Both are reasonable I’m just curious to know which one it is. Didn’t OS get some transfers in this past season? I guess it’s only fun when you’re the one benefiting from the patterns of a head coach.

He must be pretty good if you guys are hoping he loses a year of football for leaving.

That was cute . OG actually has a couple of state titles to be happy about but feel free to point and laugh at Brandon. And they’re 6-2 against OS in the playoffs since 2004. We’ll see if you can reload this fall. I can promise you OG will.

Neither school plays in the highest classification where coast schools have minimal playoff success. Ocean Springs shoulda threw a parade for making it to south state for the first time in God knows how long.

Glad Causey wised up. We would run Ocean Springs in the ground next season. There’s a difference between having a great team and having a great program.

I’m usually a little more reserved on predictions but OG is set to be pretty loaded next year. 6 D1 returning starters so far including two D lineman with multiple SEC offers. It’s no wonder Causey felt confident enough to put Hoover on the schedule.

That’s fair. I just don’t notice a huge difference between the last weekend in August and the first week in September. That’s just my opinion though

I’m probably in the minority but August games don’t bother me. The primary reason most people complain about them is because of the heat. They’ve already pushed back early season game kickoff times to 7:30. And they give players the necessary heat timeouts. Don’t even get me started on people complaining that don’t even attend live games.

8 games ? That’s a Junior high schedule.

While I certainly get your point… it really doesn’t matter. You can say it either way. Top QBs for the 2023 season or top QBs of class 2024.

We did. Causey expects OG to be one of if not the best team in 7A next year. We’ll go over and see how we stack up against one of the best in Alabama.

Next year’s OG squad (should) be good enough to play with anyone. Depending on QB play.
