Wing-T I believe.

They are going to get after it for 4 quarters. They do not have the best athletes and they know it. Which is why they play so hard. They are going to run downhill with their offense. They did lose their starting RB to an injury a few weeks ago and not having him is going to hurt a lot. I expect West Jones to win, but it will be a physical football game.

Ocean Springs is the only shot the coast has for a 6A run. Coast 6A ball just is not as competitive. Too many schools claim to be all in with football, but are not. Ocean Springs is showing what is capable of happening if a school does that.

Love the Stone pick. They have quietly put together a nice season and have been putting opponents to sleep since they started 0-2. John Feaster is a great coach and man. Hopefully they can make a run.

I will go ahead and say Vicksburg wins the north this year. I may be completely wrong on that in a few weeks, just a feeling.

It is Laurel. Region 4-5A going to be a good one.

Well Petal fans did not get their wish. LOL
-
So you still think we will know something by today?
-
What is meeting at 2 about?
-
So we are about 50% sure everything is coming out at 2? LOL
-
Nobody knows for sure LOL

From what I am told, Natchez will stay 5A.

I am too. I was told Hancock turned in roughly 945 which would put them most likely on the fringe of 7A/6A. I saw another post on here that said they turned in less than West Harrison which means West Harrison is probably on that fringe line as well. So if they both were to stay 6A, that would mean George County most likely bumps to region 3. If either of them are 7A, George County stays in region 4. Heck both could be 7A and Hattiesburg and George County join Region 4! That would be fun LOL

The state’s best runner vs. the state’s best passer!

Coaching to me is the biggest difference in this one. I do not trust Marc High in a game like this. Of course, with a quarterback like he has, they are going to have a chance just based on that alone. -
Part of me hopes they do not come out this week just to see some of you have to wait it out another week LOL
-
He tell you when the information is dropping?! Lol
-
Yes you are correct. Wayne County has been sent down to the coast region when a region 3 school is bumped down.

Because Gautier is going to be 5A and I have not gotten a clear read in who will all be 5A, mainly the coast region. You will have East Central, Vancleave, Gautier and probably Stone. After that, I am unsure of who would fit for region 4-5A. You are way too sensitive my friend. Not everything on this board is a dig at Gautier or slighting them. Lighten up, you will need it to last on this board.

Based on what I saw from previous year numbers plus what I have been told (which is not in any way to be interpreted 100% accurate), it would be something like: West Jones Hattiesburg George County South Jones Terry Jim Hill Petal could possibly be in this mix as well, but I was told by an admin friend in the Petal School District they are 90% sure they will be going to 7A. I am sure once the Simpson County Consolidation happens, they will most likely be a 6A program which would place them in region 3 in the near future.

Coast 7A: Gulfport Ocean Springs St. Martin Biloxi Harrison Central d'Iberville ***I have heard Hancock and West Harrison both were trending toward 6A. If either of them are 7A, I expect Harrison Central to be bumped to region 3-7A. Coast 6A: Picayune West Harrison Pascagoula Hancock Pearl River Central Long Beach ***George County will probably be odd man out in this scenario and be in region 3. If West Harrison or Hancock are 7A, George County will be region 4.

I do not think you will see much change. The teams that typically schedule a really good pre-region schedule, will continue to do so. The ones who do not, will not. I think the higher classes having 5 pre-region games will be a good thing because it will allow those top teams to schedule tougher opponents (again, those that traditionally do, will continue to do so). -
Hey buddy, relax. It is not that serious. No offense to you or the Gators, but what have they done in the last 15+ years to make people take them serious? Year after year, Gautier is loaded with athletes and either does not make the playoffs or gets bounced in the 1st Round. So do not take it too personal if people on this board do not take Gautier that seriously. I actually picked them to make it to South State in a rematch with Picayune in another thread. If there was a year for Gautier to make a run, it is absolutely this one and I think they will.

I will be shocked if Petal is 6A when numbers release. Numbers I saw from last year had them at 990+ grades 9-11. Unless they lost about 50 or so students, they will be 7A.
