It was open, then it wasn’t.

So pretty much you can only relocate schools if you are in a failing school district

I imagine that will be shot down

So what happens to kids that are currently already in private school and have been their entire lives? What’s to stop them from getting money too? Surely they have to pay for every single child now right?

I don’t think the public to private ends up going through the final bill. But if it does, I agree I see it benefiting some private schools while hurting some others. There will be a lot of people that actually leave private schools because they will now be able to attend other public schools that are a lot cheaper.

I don’t believe the senate will take up the house bill as it is

I believe that’s more of what the senate is looking at proposing

Ahhhhhh well then. Nothing to discuss

Mize is about to get a lot of students from Taylorsville, Magee, and Mount Olive. The poor performing schools are only going to get even worse now, and eventually just be closed down. That’s probably what they are hoping happens anyway.

What are the best schools nearest Wilkinson county?

When they gonna announce this hire

They beat my pee wee team in the 2nd round of the playoffs this year. A lot of big boys

How did he wreck youth football? Wayne county youth football has dominated the last couple years, at almost every age group

It’s a website, I think it’s called openthebooks.com, you can see multiple school districts and what their salaries are.

He makes $92,000 at Heidelberg without booster club. That’s public record. I was told NE didn’t pay that much

NE Jones couldn’t pay him what Heidelberg is.

I would have BP Robbins from Wesson and Sullivan Reed from Lamar before a couple mentioned on this list.

They trying to get Daryll Carters salary where it needs to be?

The senate bill, if I’m reading correctly, only allows a student that is in a poorly performing school district to transfer to a better school district. In other words, you cannot transfer from a B school to another B school. But you can transfer from an F school to a B school. It will be interesting to see what all criteria they set for that. I don’t think you should be able to transfer from a B or C school period, not even to an A school. If you are in a failing school, I could see it maybe. This is probably the states way of eventually closing down all these failing school districts

Oh it’s gonna create mass chaos

No. Every county needs one district, that’s it. Desoto county only has one school district. It desoto county can fully operate and thrive with one school district, so can everybody else

Who they gonna hire?

You cannot transfer just to play sports if the school you are currently at does not grant a release. Now if the school doesn’t fight it, then nothing will happen. I wish these smaller schools would fight back to stop these bigger schools from poaching their players.

You said there were less risks to transferring to a bigger school. Anytime a kid already has offers, there are always MORE risks when transferring anywhere, it especially to a bigger school. If you don’t already have offers, or your only offers are JUCO, then it may could be less of a risk. But not when you are already on a lot of teams radar. I mean heck, the starting QB for PCS’s dad is now the GM for USM

And he finished the season with 22 total tackles and 2 sacks. After a monster season the year before at PCS. So you tell me, did his stock go up or down?
