  1. I think Tville has 11 total appearances, Mize has 5, and Raleigh has 3. I could be wrong on Tville but I think their only state championship losses was once in the 80’s, 1993, and 2007. Next season Raleigh will still be good, they have some good young backs on offense. They lose a very good group of seniors though on defense, including some who were 3 year starters. It will be a little bit of a rebuilding year, but not too much. They will still be contenders in 3A south. Tville could be in some trouble next season, depending on what other teams have returning. Tville is losing 17 seniors, and they were their main players on this years team. Definitely could be a big rebuild there next season. They should be right back contending in a couple of years though. Mize has their best opportunity for a championship that they have had in several years next season. We return 16 starters from the team that made the semi finals, 8 starters on both sides of the ball. All our offensive production returns, except for our fullback. He will be missed on both sides of the ball, but especially on the defensive side. He was top 5 in the entire state in total tackles.
  2. There definitely were some defensive battles this year, but that could also have been due to the weather a little bit. 1A, 3A, 4A, and 7A were defensive games and the 2A game was a good mixture of good offense and defense
  3. Man it really was a great weekend. Best in a long time.
  4. East Webster finishes as the best 2A team in Mississippi. Heidelberg had a historically good program, but their ego got the best team of them and ended what would have been arguably the best 2A season of all time. As for East Webster, congrats to them. They beat Heidelberg fair and square, and dominated the 2nd half to win their first state title. Having two Qb’s rarely ever works, but it did for them all season.
  5. Honestly, those are all really good coaches. All of those names. If the pool of candidates is Higdon, Soules, McDonald, and Evans then you really can’t go wrong. You could just put their names in a hat and randomly draw one out, lol. Coach Hig is the only one that would run a different offense than those others, but I wouldn’t say he is “married” to the wing-t. Raleigh lined up in different formations this season, but the wing-t was their primary offense because it was the best system suited for the personnel that they had.
  6. Heidelberg’s head coach blamed the officials for their loss to east Webster in his postgame interviews. Said EW “got alot of help” with that win.
  7. He’s charging people to watch. You could have just paid $15 to NFHS and watched them all
  8. Calhoun City Simmons Taylorsville Biggersville Nanih Waiya
  9. Raleigh Noxubee Co. Choctaw Co. Seminary Union
  10. Raleigh wins a defensive battle, 12-6. Senior linebacker McCollum with the game saving tackle on the 6 yard line.
  11. Noxubee cannot stop the wing-T. Raleigh may rush for 400 yards if Noxubee can’t figure it out in the 2nd half
  12. After the disrespect Heidelberg showed us after the game last week, I will be rooting hard for east Webster today. Still think Heidelberg wins easily, but I won’t be pulling for them
  13. Is he hurt bad enough to not play or is he thinking of “his future” ?
  14. There was nobody at the 1A game. It was horrible
  15. 5 on defense and 6 on offense, or vice versa
  16. You continue to prove that you are triggered by what I said, by misquoting what I said. I said I “don’t really like” Hattiesburg. That’s it. I never said I hated Hattiesburg. You assumed that, because you were clearly bothered by it.
  17. Almost every prediction I have seen has Hattiesburg picked to win. And it’s pretty obvious that you care that I don’t like Hattiesburg.
  18. Usually I always root for the south, but I also like rooting for the underdog sometimes so I’m pulling for Warren central. Plus I just don’t really like Hattiesburg
  19. Brookhaven dominated the 2nd half and pretty much whipped West Point. What a big win for them
  20. Touchdown Brookhaven! Pick 6! Got to go for 2 here coach
  21. Touchdown Brookhaven. They have definitely outplayed West Point so far. Don’t know why they didn’t attempt the 2 point conversion there, but regardless Ole Brook is up 24-19
  22. And just like that, touchdown West Point right before the half. If Brookhaven loses this game, they can only blame themselves for not protecting the ball. One fumble when they were about to score, another fumble that West Point recovered for a score, and another fumble that led to this latest score before half. That’s a 21 point swing off of turnovers in a single half
  23. Brookhaven with 4 first half fumbles and is only down 2 points. They are killing themselves
  24. Dadgum man Brookhaven has muffed two punts now
