  1. Enterprise 16 Stringer 12 end 3rd. Stringer driving.
  2. Enterprise 9 Stringer 6 halftime. Stringer receives to start 2nd half.
  3. Stringer 6 Enterprise 2 after 1 quarter. Stringer snapped out of the back of the end zone on a punt.
  4. I’ll give y’all score updates.
  5. They may have finished 5-7 last year, but the previous 3 years combined they only had 6 wins total. Without Brady coming in and changing the culture completely, there’s a good chance that same losing culture would have continued. Last year for Stringer was about completely rebuilding the mess that they had and getting back to the basics. This year is about learning how to win. Like you said, they haven’t had a winning season in several years (2018 unless you count COVID year). That will change this year. All of Stringer’s non district games (weak or not) were put on the schedule with an intention of winning or being extremely competitive including Enterprise. Am I saying Stringer is going to beat Enterprise? Not necessarily, but I feel confident that Stringer will compete for 4 quarters and if Enterprise does win it will be earned for sure. Right now, Stringer is not back to being an elite 1A program by any means, but if anything they are on the right track.
  6. Heidelberg @ Noxubee sticks out to me. Battle of the titans. Curious to see how Heidelberg fares in Macon.
  7. I think Enterprise and Stringer will be much closer than 28-6. I know you are biased, and I may be a little bit too, but IMO it should be a close one. Otherwise not a bad list actually for the most part.
  8. As we are approaching Week 1, I thought I would compile a list of the Top 20 biggest games to watch in the state IMO 1A-7A. These games are in no particular order. This list may be small school and also south heavy because that’s what i’m more familiar with. Feel free to add to this list and submit your picks on who you think comes out on top in some of these matchups. Lots of good matchups this week regardless of class. Biggersville @ West Lowndes Lumberton @ Purvis Mize @ Taylorsville Vardaman @ Nanih Waiya Enterprise Clarke @ Stringer Choctaw County @ East Webster JDC @ MRA Heidelberg @ Noxubee County Raleigh @ D’iberville Quitman @ Kemper County Columbia @ Hartfield Academy Seminary @ West Lauderdale Kosciusko @ Neshoba Central West Point @ Louisville Laurel @ West Jones Hattiesburg @ Petal Picayune @ Gulfport Tupelo @ Brandon Oak Grove @ Starkville Germantown @ Northwest Rankin
  9. Thank you for that. I figured the O-Line plus inexperience of QB would be a weak ish link for them this season. I’m sure he will develop as the season goes on. He has plenty of athletes around him and a tough defense that will make that process a little easier. Their first 5 games are rough though. Especially Raleigh and Heidelberg back to back weeks.
  10. Makes sense. How did Tville look? I heard they played well defensively, but it looks like they got a lot of help.
  11. I had heard about Forest but did not know about Lumberton. That would’ve been a good matchup. I saw they beat Magee 7-0 I think. It does suck that it left y’all only getting a quarter a piece.
  12. Stringer beat SE 8-6. I was there, and it is on Youtube. Either way, I agree with you on learning very little from scrimmages and jamborees like I said above. But, the little bit you do learn from them can help set the stage to improve on mistakes made before the season starts. I think Mize will learn from and fix their mistakes from last night and have a good year.
  13. That’s understandable. I’m sure Mize will be fine. Like you said it was just a 1 quarter jamboree. Next week should be a good one.
  14. I heard that as well. NF came to Stringer in the spring and Stringer beat them 14-0. That’s why I thought Mize would put some points up against them, but maybe I am too high on Mize this season. Guess we will see how things go when they play at Taylorsville next week.
  15. Did North Forrest actually improve over the summer, or did Mize have a bad night? NF looked bad in the spring. I figured Mize would put up a TD or 2 in this one.
  16. Saw they won a defensive struggle 7-0. I wasn’t there to tell you how they looked, but look up BR Broadcasting on Facebook and most of the game is on there.
  17. 15 combined starters back out of 22 according to MSGridiron Magazine. Losing Quarterback and their 2 best backs/linebackers definitely hurt, but they still have a veteran front 7 on defense that did really well tonight. Offense was shaky at times, but they will grow up as the season progresses. Should still have a winning season and play for 2nd or 3rd in their district behind Heidelberg.
  18. Curious to see how them and Enterprise match up next week after seeing that jamboree score.
  19. I was about to say the same. Maybe they will turn out better than expected.
  20. I was on opposite side of field so couldn’t really see it but definitely was close. You could argue some things that didn’t go Stringer’s way could’ve lead to a TD if reversed as well. Overall both sides have things to work but should be very pleased with the outcome. Gonna be a good year for Jasper County football.
  21. View other thread pinned at top of the board.
  22. Bay Springs 8-0 over Stringer in 2 quarter jamboree. Very competitive jamboree that ended with a Stringer fumble at Bay Springs 5 yard line.
  23. Taylorsville 7-0 over Scott Central in Jamboree at Raleigh
  24. Either way they turned themselves in, so they’re in the clear for now it seems. They just have to pay that little fine and can’t slip up for the rest of the year.
  25. I think Taylorsville went full pads from the looks of it at Meet the Tartars, so they may be in some big trouble unless they self report.
