Mize 20 Bay Springs 14. Bay Springs has one of the best defenses Mize has faced all year. Bay Springs’s offense on the other hand is lacking. As long as Mize can stop the run and not beat themselves, they will win, but not by 4 touchdowns.

I heard ACL, but they may just be a rumor. Hopefully it’s just something minor.

They have much more speed and athleticism than Enterprise. They are a good team no matter what happened last Friday night. Miles better than last season. Their new coach has done a fantastic job in his first year. I did hear one of their better athletes had a season ending injury against Mize, which is unfortunate, but I still think they win big Friday night. Only way Enterprise has a chance is if they can control the clock.

Several of them were former athletes at Bay Springs. I know 2 for sure were starters on their 2023 football team. Not sure where any of them lived. I’m sure spread out throughout the west side of Jasper County.

I’m referring to when Mize plays Enterprise. It would be hard for anyone to score 50 on Bay Springs. Possibly even Heidelberg if they played. Luckily their offense is lack luster, so should still be a Mize win IMO.

As long as Mize doesn’t turn the ball over like they have been I think they pick the number for that game. If they want to score 50 they will.

Not sure. When I saw the post that game was back on, I searched facebook to see if anyone had posted about it. I saw someone had posted that only players, cheerleaders, and band get 4 tickets. Neither schools have made posts stating exact details. That could just be speculation by the person who posted more than facts. Guess we will see if the schools issue an official statement.

I just saw on a Facebook post that every band member, cheerleader, and player gets 4 tickets. If a person doesn’t have a ticket, they aren’t allowed to enter the game.

Very bad for 2A and past Tville standards maybe. A pretty good 1A team though. Don’t be shocked if you see them in the South State championship especially if they beat Lumberton for the district title. I know the competition they’re playing now is much worse than what they played early season, but they have definitely made adjustments as the season has went on and found some offense. I know this is a thread about Enterprise, but Taylorsville is not as bad as people make them out to be especially in 1A. They may be a shadow of their former self, but they still have athletes all over the field. Not a Taylorsville fan by any means, but I think they deserve at least some respect.

They’ve still had some success since then. They beat a decent Quitman team 2 weeks after that. Overall I think they get either the 3 or 4 seed in Region 6. They’ll go on the road to Lake or Scott Central 1st round more than likely from what i’m seeing then run into Wesson/Loyd Star depending on which seed they get. I think those are winnable games for them as long as their defense keeps them in games.

Bay Springs offense is not very good. They lean on their defense heavily. Also it was Bay Springs homecoming so they may not have been worried too much about the game. Clarkdale is actually a pretty decent team though. Don’t really know what happened tonight at Mize, but besides that and last week at Union they’ve been lights out all year.

Possibly. I was shocked by that score. I was expecting a good game. Everything must’ve finally clicked for Mize.

Enterprise at this point is just praying that basketball season will come as quick as possible. A tough schedule along with injuries has completely depleted them. Only thing that could give them somewhat of a positive this season is getting a win against Clarkdale.

Statement just released by West Jasper School District.

Nanih Waiya should beat Sebastopol by a few TD’s as long as they come ready to play. I believe Noxapater will bounce back against an overrated Ethel team that may not even secure a playoff spot after losing to Leake County 28-0 last Friday. A game that somewhat interests me this week in 1A is Bogue Chitto going on the road to Mount Olive. Bogue Chitto will obviously be the favorite, but I think if anyone can knock them off in that district it would be Mount Olive.

I say 65-70% chance. Lumberton is really the only bump in the road, and they only beat a mediocre at best Richton team by 2 TD’s last night. Enterprise won’t be a blow out, but I definitely think Taylorsville is the better team. Plus it’s at home.

The suspect I heard is from Bay Springs.

Prayers for Leland as well. According to Facebook they had a mass shooting after their game. Not sure how many injured or fatalities.

Prayers for Heidelberg. I heard 3 people shot at their homecoming tailgate tonight.

Good game. Heck of a comeback attempt by WA. Stringer battled a lot of adversity that game.

According to Maxpreps, Nanih Waiya 41 Noxapater 16 in the 4th. Did not see that coming.

Clarkdale at Union moved to Friday.

Very good point. With Union’s district being a little on the weaker side, they definitely need a game like this to prepare them for playoffs. Same for Clarkdale except that their district is not weak, and they have an another level of good Heidelberg team coming to their field at the end of this month. Mize isn’t a bad team either even if their record says otherwise. 3 one score losses against some solid teams.
