With Alabama losing to Oklahoma, what are the chances they get in the Kiffin sweepstakes with anything less than a finals appearance?

Some of the talking heads saying the betting lines for Kiffin and the game moved yesterday like somebody knew something.

Trying out a new term here. Arkansas got MSU'd.

I'm going with Arkansas being the only remaining game Texas wins. Oklahoma is the only decent team they beat. They needed luck to scrape by MSU and Kentucky. Texas A&M, on the other hand, has only Missouri left as a decent opponent. They' re probably in the playoffs. I see Facebook posts about MSU offering Austin Simmons. Is that true? I'm not a huge Freeze or Auburn guy, but they have gotten shafted several games and may be as good as any of the second tier SEC teams.

I understand coming into the season MSU could be much improved and not have the record to show it. However, as the season has played out, Florida and Texas were winnable games. They weren't as good as we thought coming into the season. So to me a little disappointment is reasonable and you have to be concerned about a developing pattern of poor game management decisions.

All I see on O'Sullivan is "family and personal matters". What's up with that? As for Vitello, I'm not sure how his personality will play with major leaguers.

The Attala County schools, Ethel and McAdams, are 3-1/4-0 respectively and Kosciusko 4-0. Probably the best cumulative record for them ever.

Oklahoma is the new Alabama for getting/not getting calls. League officials admit the fake going off the field touchdown wasn't legal. I also don't know about that fumble return Auburn had called back. Any thought on that one?

I believe there are some counties (at least one) with one superintendent/central office and multiple high schools. That'd be a compromise that might work in some situations.

Sark's play calling made Mac Jones look like an NFL quarterback at Alabama albeit with several NFL receivers and backs. The offense doesn't seem to have the same creative feel now.

Most of us come here to get away from politics and divisive controversy other than our favorite sports teams. But I wanted to get thoughts on the logo change. Am I wrong, or is the barrel not literally the "cracker barrel". This somehow seems to me an extension of the gender stuff in denying what you are. The barrel is the cracker barrel. From a business standpoint, I'm not sure the cost of changing out all the advertising will pay for itself. Am I missing something that the logo was somehow offensive? I don't get it.

You're pretty much playing all the Marshall players who had eligibility left and the best USM players. I don't know about the ones that transferred, but they had a pretty good season last year. So who knows.

While acknowledging these obvious concerns, I guess you could find a few positives in it. At least the coaches would be certified school staff, it might be good for some kids who wouldn't have another opportunity, a little experience and small supplement for up-and-coming coaches, etc.

Enterprise vs the world

Some people will say "LSU goin' LSU".

I didn't see it live, but on the replays I saw the ejections were pretty weak. And the calls were pretty bad.

It doesn't happen with, and no one is concerned with it when it's average players. My concern is it's just more "normalized" and even expected by extension of what's going on in college. Should we be concerned or is it just capitalism at work?

I'm ignorant of the rules, but even if there is recruiting, if the family moves legally into the district are they ineligible? MHSAA can't prevent people from moving.

At some point, your candidates don't have much better credentials than the coach you got rid of or the interim. It's aways a concern to me. I kind of like the approach of lawyers - never ask a question unless you know the answer - never get rid of a coach unless you know who the next one is.

OM softball to World Series

Does anyone think resources should go to scholarship sports, or does that really matter? Only a small percentage will get any kind of scholarship anyway.
