That is absolutely mind boggling. How will Kiffin explain not playing him when he rushes for over 200, because he will rush for over 200.
-
I thought State looked really unprepared on defense last year when I watched them. This year they seem just as unprepared, but also a lot less talented. At least last year they had a couple SEC defensive linemen and two legit SEC linebackers. Horrible on 3rd down, not physical against the run, and there is always someone wide open in passing situations.

Clemson/SC is a huge game for playoffs teams. Not just the two playing. Bama and OM do just have a slim chance, but two teams that were double digit favorites (those two ironically) with the playoffs on the line blew it last week, so you never know. Lots of playoff implications the final week of the season.

Pegues runs for 200. lol
-
OM at 14 had a chance. They probably need TN and Bama both to lose, but you never know.
-
OM 59 State 7 42-0 at the half There are some very good matchups and should be some entertaining games. A&M will upset Texas if Ewers is out. If he plays Texas wins. Clemson over SCarolina. Playoff potential for both maybe. LSU over Oklahoma TN over Vandy. Finally a team shows up with something on the line. Missouri over Arkansas. Arkansas players will be on their best behavior so Drinkowitz doesn’t run the score up Georgia holds off GA Tech Miami and Syracuse could be entertaining as well as ND/USC and Memphis/Tulane.

That won’t be the case every year. Any previous year that would be a very good season. Expectations like this year are not the norm, but with Heisman talent at QB, one of the best WRs in the country, the best WR group in the country according to some, all the money spent on defense additions, and that schedule this year was different. Maybe Kiffin will handle lower expectations better.

Just spend more next year. Lol. The coach has to have them ready no matter who is taking the field. OM is the model for all schools when it comes to collectives, but some of their fans are delusional thinking they will be able to spend year in and out with schools like A&M, Texas, Oregon, Michigan, Bama, Georgia and a few others. When they figure it out on the level OM has, they will be pro teams taking the field. OM has to take advantage of the occasional years they’re stacked and this was one of them. Unless something crazy happens next week, it was a total bust this season.

You’re right. The losses this year are a result of not being prepared to play. Not necessarily scheme wise, but mentally. That’s on the staff and the head coach ultimately. I'm also with Wammie. Why is the DL running off tackle with the QB the lead blocker. That is ridiculous. As for Bentley not playing, I’d trust the coach on that one. He sees him daily and his ass is on the line if it costs him games.
-
I’ll go ahead and say next week A&M over Texas, GA Tech over Georgia and Vandy over TN. S Carolina may be playing the best of the 3 loss teams right now.
-
So Bama loses to Oklahoma by a couple TDs and OM loses to Florida by a TD, does Bama drop below OM?
-
Some losses today, like OM, were good for Indiana. However, analysts are already talking about how does a 1 loss Indiana with zero good wins compare to a THREE loss SEC team when it comes to the playoff. OM fans, there’s still a chance. Lol
-
Have you not been paying attention to college football the past few years.
-
If he has to compete for the job then he will be gone. He has to be one of the few players that Lebby said was already being contacted by other schools.
-
There has been talk for weeks of a 3 loss SEC team being able to sneak in. Does OM deserve to be that team? No, but where they rank this week will tell if there is any shot. A few crazy outcomes and you never know. After the second loss a lot of OM fans called the season over, but a week later with some upsets there was hope. No doubt though they wasted probably the most talented overall team roster in school history. It was built for making a 4 team playoff, and most likely won’t get in the 12 team playoff. The only sure thing is this loss means OM will win the Egg Bowl 84-0.
-
I’m just not impressed with Texas. Inwas after the Michigan game, but Michigan has turned out to be a bust. They’ve actually had an easier schedule than OM.
-
Im sure he was required to do the bare minimum. The barest of bare. P
-
Just call it a university sponsored semi pro team and move on. Treat them like employees and have them show up for work. For all those that won’t go to the NFL (the majority), give them the option of paying for school

I still think the data is coming in since NIL and the portal have only been a major factor for a few years, but I don’t see putting a huge emphasis on high school recruiting anymore. When schools are able to lock a player down with a contract and get something in return when they leave, it will mean more, but as it stands you don’t know where that player will be in one or two years. That being said, the more successful schools will be able to grab up players that were over looked coming out of high school after they have a good season at their current school and the less successful schools will be getting the players that didn’t live up to expectations at the bigger schools. However, it’s always better to get their signature than to not get their signature. Lol

Am I the only one that thinks whoever plays Texas in the SECCG is going to beat them? We talk about OMs schedule being soft, but Texas is as bad if not worse.
-
Wasn’t that crazy. The two pass plays to tie it, then Oklahoma fumbling right after the announcer said the game has been so ugly you might want to just play for OT. Lol
-
Right. They’ll be added to the list of 2 loss teams most likely. Then the loser of TX and A&M will join them. Bama, OM, UGA, Tennessee and TX/A&M all wanting one SECCG spot. Or do they really want it? lol. A loss in that game and you may be out the playoffs with 3 losses. I’m also assuming S Carolina takes out Missouri next week.
-
IMO it’s still NC or bust. OM has the team to make a run. They also have a team that lost to KY at home.
-
They finally are getting production from multiple people in the passing game. That’s what I thought would separate them from other teams at the beginning of the season. If Dart has time, someone should be open.
-
Kiffin will always have a QB and playmakers. He showed what you need to compete for titles is build a physical DL. Yeah LBs and DBs are important too, but a physical DL will win championships. Damn does UGA drop a ton of balls. All season long that’s been an issue. They still have Tennessee on the schedule too. A win against TN adds another 2 loss team to the mix. It’s going to be an entertaining finish to the season.
