It's likely a fluke, but Kentucky (game 5 for Ole Miss) played Georgia within a point last week.
-
The Ole Miss defense stat of 9 points in 3 games is certainly impressive. Still, I still question the pass defense giving up big plays once real competition hits.
-
It’s very doubtful Napier makes it until the end of the season. He may well get fired today?
-
Meanwhile, Florida State may well be starting 0-3.

The two I would stay away from if I was a betting man... Florida/A&M and LSU/USC, especially Florida/A&M. I'm wondering about Auburn. IF they clean up turnovers, they would have won easily vs Cal and MAYBE aren't as bad as they've looked so far? Hugh's habit of throwing everyone (coaches/players) under the bus makes me lean things won't get better. Wake is the best test Ole Miss has faced so far, and it really shouldn't be a test. Wake is a P5 team, but isn't a great P5 team by far. The MSU/Toledo game is one to keep an eye on also. Toledo is well coached and will beat quite a few teams, but if MSU plans to go bowling... this is almost a "must win." Bama SHOULD roll, but we'll see if they were just sleepwalking last week for 3 quarters or if there are real issues there. I figure Bama will roll and was just sleepwalking... it happens.

Agreed. Both LOOK good, but neither have played anyone so who knows?

It’s hard to tell much so early in the season. Biggest surprise? has to be Vandy. Hardest to figure out? South Carolina. Most impressive win? Texas drilling Michigan.
-
That was so long ago. Who would have guessed Tuberville would be in the US Senate now? On a different note, no way is this Lane building a house. People with money use 2x6 on exterior walls. Sturdier and extra insulation, it pays for itself in the long run.
-
That's the other one I'm following. Definitely the two best games tonight to watch.
-
Coach Prime and his Buffalos are struggling with a division 2/FCS team. Best game I've found tonight.
-
Texas fired their baseball coach, the coaches in tonight's final are likely 1 and 2 on their list. I think Ole Miss is safe from Bianco getting hired away right now.**
-
UT advances to the final. Florida beat KY this morning and has to beat A&M twice to advance to the final... we'll see if they can pick up the first chance shortly.
-
NC State eliminated today, that leaves 3 SEC teams to battle for the finals. It may well be an all SEC final.
-
I predict the supporters of the winner will gloat and the supporters of the loser will be angry. Other than that, I have no idea how this one will turn out.

Egg Bowl moving to Black Friday afternoon
rebmus replied to Dawg83's topic in Mississippi College Sports
NFL is playing on "Black Friday" also... I'm not sure if it's the same time as the Egg Bowl or not. Either way, I'd much rather watch the Egg Bowl on Friday instead of trying to do Thanksgiving and trying to watch the game at the same time. -

I like this move. -
MSU goes to Virginia, USM to UT Knoxville. Where is Ole Miss going? **
-
Vandy beat UT 13-4. All 3 lower seeds have won so far today. Is that a sign MSU beats A&M tonight?
-
Not just momma, but there's nothing really different now than before... other than now it's perfectly fine to pay recruits while everyone did it before but had to try to hide it. Well, there is one big difference, recruits are making much more now that nobody has to hide it... and good for the recruits.
-
LSU REALLY helped their bid chances by smoking Kentucky 11-0 today. South Carolina helped their chances also by beating Arkansas.
-
With the RPI, Ole Miss still has a chance with a win tomorrow and some work in the SECT... but yeah, chances are very slim now. Cue the "Fire Bianco" crowd... which I can see both sides. I figure he gets one more year to turn it back around.
-
Yep, that's one of many examples this season. 1 thing goes bad and it becomes a snowball down the hill with this team... lack of confidence IMO.
-
Ole Miss has a VERY VERY SLIM chance to have postseason hopes after losing a home series to Bama this past weekend. MSU is in VERY GOOD shape to make the postseason after this weekend. We'll see how it plays out.
-
Ole Miss run ruled, AGAIN. 12-0 final, Bama used one pitcher. Yikes
-
Being down 12-0 in game 1 in the 5th inning isn't a good start for a must win series. I've been too busy to really watch this game so far, but I've seen 2 missed easy fly balls and a missed catch at second... that's 3 should be outs given up.
