I'm not sure I've ever seen that happen. It took way too long to review, at least the call was made correct.
-
Bama and UT tied at 28 now.
-
28-20 at the half. Could be a great game until the end.
-
301 rushing yards by Auburn, 448 by Ole Miss. Tank Bigsby 179 Judkins 139 Evans 136 Dart 115 The passing game was lackluster for both teams. I'm still not sold OM will end up top 10 by the end of the season, but I'll take a 7-0 record happily.
-
Auburn is struggling, but they always give Ole Miss a game in down years. I'll take Ole Miss to win since they host but OM doesn't win by 15. I like MSU to win in a very close one IF Levis is healthy. MSU blows out UK if Levis is out/playing injured. Bama in a close one without Bryce Young. Bama easily if Young plays healthy. UT is good this year, but not Bama/UGA good I think... we'll see. LSU/Florida... Florida hosts so Florida wins... I guess. I don't like this pick either way. Ark/BYU... flip a coin. I guess I'll the home team should get the nod so BYU.

Trigg left the game with a limp arm. It looked like a broke collarbone to me, probably out for most of the season. It almost always happens in a Vandy game.
-
State should get a nice jump in the polls tomorrow. 19 Kansas lost. 21 Washington lost. 16 BYU lost. 20 Kansas state won, but barely vs 3-3 Iowa State. (I lean MSU jumps over KS) 13 Kentucky lost and has 2 losses vs MSU with 1 loss. 11 Utah lost and has 2 losses vs MSU with 1 loss. I figure OM stays at #9 and MSU jumps to #17.

247 yards by Mingo, which did break Elijah Moore's previous record for most receiving yards in a game for an OM receiver. What a monster second half by OM. 52-28 final is far from the story of how close this game was in the first half. Dart 25/32 for 448 yards is huge also, he finally stepped up to win a game passing. Dart did have 2 WTF interceptions... he's a gambler. He'll score some and cost you some. Vandy did a nice job of slowing down the running duo of Evans/Judkins, and forced the offense to beat them passing. Dart did his job, along with Mingo and Watkins (Watkins had 7 catches for 117 yards).

Nice job by MSU today. Vandy is pushing OM around on both sides of the lines. The OM O woke up late in the second quarter, we'll see how the second half plays out.

Agree on OM/Vandy Dawg83... it's typically a much closer game than the experts think. I'll add (knock on wood), OM has had major contributors injured vs Vandy so many times it seems. That's not suggesting Vandy plays dirty at all, it's almost always a weird injury that rarely happens on a given play. Satch, a FEW OM fans think Lane it's keeping the offense "vanilla" which leads to the second half adjustments by opponent's D to shut down OM in the second half. I'm not buying that and only a FEW have said it to my knowledge. Almost all OM fans I know see it as an issue and have no explanation. I lean it boils down to opponents making halftime adjustments and Dart doesn't adjust well to them at his age. Dart is an underclassman and also in a brand new system this season, he should improve as the year goes. We'll see.

Yeah, it's just a bad day of football ON PAPER... those weekends sure have ended up with some interesting games though, we'll see what happens. I'm a tad surprised UT is only favored by 3 at LSU. UT wins and covers. MSU favored by 8 over Arkansas... I like MSU to win but not sure by 8. I like this as a very close exciting game to watch. If KJ Jefferson is out, MSU should cover easily. OM should win easily, but I'm not sure they cover the spread over Vandy. I'm curious how the OM offense looks in the second half of this game, there seems to be a trend on second half O struggles. Mizzou has a way of hanging around without winning. UF wins, Mizzou covers. UGA wins but doesn't cover 30 points. UGA has struggled two weeks in a row and I'm not buying they can cover 30 points vs Auburn. KY wins and covers. I like Bama to win but wouldn't touch that line. I lean Saban runs up the score after the offseason yacking between Saban/Jimbo... so I guess Bama covers?
-
Ole Miss #9 and MSU #23 in both polls today.
-
Georgia with the STRUGGLE WIN! 26-22 over Mizzou.
-
LSU @ Auburn was certainly something. Auburn jumped out 17-0. LSU stormed back to lead 21-17. The 4th Qtr was two teams turning it over trying to give it away... LSU survived 21-17. I don't bet on sports, but if I did... Auburn firing their coach tomorrow seems like a safe bet.
-
It's only the second quarter, but Auburn is pushing LSU around early... 17-0. Mizzou leads UGA 3-0 in the 2nd quarter, LULZWUT?
-
MSU took care of business in the second half. 42-24 final. Arkansas battled Bama hard for 3 quarters, but all Bama in the 4th quarter. 49-26 final.
-
Yep Satch. 1st quarter was just hard to watch for both teams. MSU owned the 2nd quarter. Unless A&M comes out of the half better, MSU will blow them out. IF MSU wins by 10 or more, I suspect they'll break in the top 25 tomorrow with spots opening. #15, #18, and #21 already lost. A&M is #17, they'd drop out and it'd make sense to put MSU in. #22 is playing #23, so one of those will lose.
-
Same. Both are good teams, and most likely top 20 at the end of the season... MAYBE top 15 at the end of the season. OM will most likely get a top 10 ranking tomorrow, but I'm not buying they will end up top 10. Then again, I can say the same for every top 25 team not named Bama, Ohio State, or Georgia right now.
-
Defense bailed out Ole Miss today. 5-0, I'll take it.
-
LULZWUT? If it's really a "killer sold out rock show", why is there a need to give away tickets?
-
Should be some good close games to watch this weekend. I very slightly lean OM beats KY, but realize that may be picking with my heart and not my head. I'm surprised the line is 1 or 2 points in either direction. I'm very hesitant to pick MSU over A&M but will because MSU hosts (same reason I'm picking OM). LSU/Auburn- who the heck knows? I guess I'll stick with "picking the home team" like the above two games... Auburn pulls it out. MAYBE?? ^I wouldn't bet on any of these three games. Bama/Arkansas- Bama seems to have 1 bad game early(ish) in the season taking a scare and sometimes a loss. Nick Saban has a mini orgasm when this happens due to it allows him a chance to get his team refocused. I see the Tide rolling through the regular season after the Texas 'scare'. No idea if they cover the spread, but I figure they go 12-0. NC State @ Clemson, I'll stay with the home team to pick in my head. I kind of like this as an upset special bet for NC State though. Other games of interest: #22 Wake Forest @ #23 Florida State. I lean Wake Forest pulls the upset (FSU favored by 6.5) #9 Oklahoma State @ #16 Baylor. Baylor is favored by 2.5, that line looks about right.

I was at that 2010 Kentucky/OM game in Oxford, WOOF what a game. OM won, but Kentucky would have won had a few more minutes been left in the game. Entering this game, I felt the Nutt experiment was about to be over... I knew it leaving this game.
-
Captain Obvious, have to win next week to get there. Still, getting into the top 10 around mid season is one thing... finishing in the top 10 is a huge thing.
-
#6 Chokelahoma got their annual choke job in early this season. Kansas State won 41-34.
-
That's true also, OM dominated the second quarter. Thankfully that was enough to cover the other 3 quarters today.
