MSU on a 4 game winning streak, LSU has lost 11 in a row. LSU hosts South Carolina and travels to Ole Miss for 2 of the last 7 games. Those are the best "winnable" games "on paper" for LSU. MSU is trending the right direction and I think they're a legit conversation for an NIT bid with an NCAAT bid still on the table. It was a slow conference start for MSU, but the first year coach is putting things together. Kudos

Vandy beat UT tonight.

Ole Miss men pick up a surprising road win at Georgia tonight.

MSU picks up their 3rd win in a row, this time over a respectable Missouri team. MSU hosts LSU next, that definitely should be a win for MSU giving them 4 in a row. MSU is definitely improving as the season progresses. As mentioned, the schedule is set up nicely for MSU to finish well. On the flipside... LSU/OM/USC all lost again today and are tied at 1-9 in SEC play. These 3 have games left with each other to try to battle out of dead last. I'm leaning it's SC that finishes last, but I don't exactly have much faith in OM or LSU either. Out of the three, LSU is the surprise to me. I sure wasn't picking LSU to compete for the SEC title, but I sure wasn't picking them to compete for dead last either. 1-10 for all three looks likely after the midweek games.

No doubt. IF these two teams met again Saturday, the smart bet is on Kentucky to win. SC beating KY was a fluke. Kentucky is 5-1 since that game including a win over #5 UT with the one loss being against #8 Kansas. SC is 0-6 since that game... including home losses to A&M, MSU, and Ole Miss. The only ranked team during this 6 game losing streak was Auburn.

I know it's a joke, but still believable...

That may be an understatement, ha. I'm not taking anything away from MSU's win, SC is just really really bad. SC and OM will be battling to not finish dead last in the SEC and OM holds the head to head tiebreaker. I'm interested to see how MSU builds on these 2 wins in a row, I'm starting to lean they work themselves into an NIT bid.

Ole Miss was already bad, I can't imagine losing Ruffin will hurt much at this point in THIS season. He's definitely a player the next coach needs to try to retain though.

And the Saints have new draft picks!

I wouldn't mind the Eagles winning, which would give AJ Brown a SB ring which I'd like. Overall, I've never liked the Eagles and I always thought they did Andy Reed dirty... so I'm rooting for the Chiefs (not that it matters, ha). In the end, I just want a really good game, I'm good with either team winning. Like you, I'm a fan of Hurts also.

Chiefs/Bengals was a really good watch. The SB should be a good one this year.

Lady Rebs picked up a win at Arkansas today to move to 7-2, currently predicted to be a 9 seed in the NCAA tournament.
-
Had Purdy not been hurt on the first series, that was likely a great game.

I was looking at MSU's schedule last night 83, it's definitely lighter loaded the rest of the way. There's definitely potential for a respectable finish or even an NIT bid which should be above expectations in year 1.
-
Big win for MSU beating #11 TCU today. This MAY be the win MSU needed to figure out how to win games... they've been so close the past few weeks.
-
Lady Rebs sweep MSU to move to 6-2 in the SEC which is 4th best in the SEC. MSU is 4-4, tied for 6th best in the SEC.
-
MSU is playing hard, the wins just aren't coming yet... which is certainly understandable with a first year head coach. I'm not sold MSU climbs out of the bottom 3 (bottom 4th at best maybe?) this season, but I lean they'll be better the next two seasons. I'm a huge fan of Kermit and really hope I'm wrong, I doubt OM finishes better than bottom 2 and dead last is quite probable.
-
OM got owned in Oxford by Mizzou tonight moving them to 1-7 in SEC play. LSU lost also tonight and is also 1-7 in the SEC to tie OM for last place.
-
I don't really care who wins the SB at this point, but will say... IF it's 49ers vs Bengals, it brings back memories. The first SB I recall watching as a kid was 1982... 49ers vs Bengals. Like 83, I've been high on the 49ers all year and will stick with that pick.

A pretty healthy Mahomes, that game's a toss up. If Mahomes is playing at 70% or less... I really like Cincy to win. I'm leaning SF wins the NFC, should be a great game.
-
The offseason will be kind for Purdy.
-
49ers keep rolling with Purdy at QB. Dak looked great last week, not so much tonight.
-
It's still early, but a loss that leaves MSU tied for bottom 3 in the SEC. Ole Miss got whipped by Arkansas today also to remain in the bottom 3, no surprise there.
-
I look at it this way, OM definitely needed 1 more QB if not 2 to not only challenge Dart but also be in line if Dart gets injured or when Dart leaves. LK's high school recruiting leaves a lot to be desired, but he may well be the transfer portal king.

Bottom 4 is probably a better guess than bottom 3. Bottom 6 isn't out of the question. The current bottom 6 in the SEC are: Vandy (1-3 vs ranked teams). Vandy has 2 SEC wins vs 1 each for the below. USC (0-1 vs ranked teams) LSU (1-2 vs ranked teams) MSU (0-4 vs ranked teams) Arkansas (2-3 vs ranked teams) OM (0-3 vs ranked teams) Arkansas probably works out of the bottom 6, LSU and Vandy show some potential to work up. It's a long season and tons can happen, I'm just not seeing much from OM/USC/MSU to work far up at all from bottom 3 or 4. Florida is currently 6th in the SEC, I expect them to fall to the bottom 5... maybe lower. They do have 3 SEC wins so these bottom 6 have work to do to pass UF.
