Well there's Poplarville at Columbia tonight. I understand Columbia being the favorite, but Poplarville will put up one heck of a fight. Don't write Poplarville off.

When your are getting either 6 or 7 figures to play college football, I would think the academic portion of it all takes a back seat. It used to be where the academics was equally if not more important. But then again, it was an amateur sport and you had to do well in the classroom to participate. It's strange talking about this in past tense.

I looked it up on Vegas Insider, but State is 6-4 so far this year in the Vegas books. Maybe you can use that metric for something, but what would you use it for?
