I’m WJ through and through but I honestly don’t think our passing game is as good as it needs to be to keep Picayunes defense honest. Chris Davis bring unavailable for picayune May change things a bit. Also, don’t start that week schedule stuff. Laurel won district and playing for 5A south state with a real good shot to win it. Poplarville won district playing for 4A south state. Jackson Prep avenged 1 of their 3 losses beating MRA in playoffs and playing for MAIS State title against Hartfield who also beat them earlier. Picayune beating Brandon gets props but ocean springs did coast football things and tapped out early in playoffs showing they weren’t really ready. Gulfport likewise probably no better than Hattiesburg. Picayunes division mates no better than wests. Picayune has a slight advantage in schedule difficulty early on in season but that doesn’t matter at all at this point. I think it comes down to turnovers and coaching. West tends to stall its own drives trying to throw when there is no need. If they just line up and run, like vs Hattiesburg and at moments vs Terry last night, they eventually start breaking big ones.

have you told me all year? Because until the last 2/3 weeks I don’t recall mentioning George county. But I don’t call a defense that only held 4 opponents bellow 20 points all year a good defense.

What y’all think? Terry looking to complete what they for sure felt they should have accomplished a month ago? They supposedly were missing their best weapon last time the two played and he lit up George county last week. But so did most teams all year light up George county’s defense. West Jones looking to right done wrongs from that last meeting ( I seriously got texts less than an hour from the end of the Wj/Hancock game that the players and coaches were amped they get terry again). They had a bye week the week after that game and started in earnest to work out some things on offense and it seems to have worked as they scored over 40 in every game since other than the 37 scored at Hattiesburg (and missed a extra point and field goal during that game).

Joy Lee should have retired tge 3rd/4th/5th time her cancer flared up going back several years ago. But she won’t. Instead she coaches half the season or less and basically holds Usm women’s basketball hostage because they do not want to be that school to tell the coach with cancer to gtfo. Last year before taking the ULM job bilderback was basically waiting on the Usm off I was told it was all set up and joy lee was just going to announce retirement. Then she decided not too.

If a coach values winning big then petal is not even a top 20 job in this state. Not enough overall talent. They do have money tho. A coach can go there get paid well a few years to pad the bank account.

Going by the final of the Hattiesburg/petal game I would say the statement of as many losses as petal touchdowns was fairly accurate.
