  1. I don’t want it at Jackson either. Really I would like it to be at southern miss every year. Stadium size is perfect and the stadium is right on top of the field. It is a perfect high school championship atmosphere. However, if they want to be fair to north teams travel wise, and Mississippi state is willing to get into a consistent rotation again, then people are going to have to accept the fact that not every team is going to have locker room access. Unless they space out the time between games.
  2. State's football facility is very nice. It's just not attached to the stadium. Really only time they would ever need more than two locker rooms is for the state championships. Which they've only hosted three times ever. And the previous two times (2014 and 2016) it was just a two day, 6 game event. State has the best grass and field crew in the business, so the field will always be in good shape, even for 7 games. Seeing Raleigh win a state championship at Mississippi State was extremely cool as I am a huge fan of both. It also worked out that Raleigh was one of the games that got to use the real locker rooms so that added to the experience. I do hate it for the teams that weren't able to do so. Have it at Ole Miss, and you'll have enough locker room space for everybody, but the field will be in shambles by about the third or fourth game. Have it at State, and the field will always be in great shape, but half the teams will be using a corridor as a locker room. Have it at Southern, and you'll obviously have turf and enough locker room space. So best of both worlds. But the North teams will complain about it being so far south if you do it there every year. Only other option is to go back to the old way. Jackson.
  3. Raleigh was in the State locker room as well. That's really the only main drawback of having them at State. Ole Miss and Southern have their football facilities attached to their respective stadiums so they have plenty of places to get dressed. Even if the teams don't get to use the actual locker rooms, those two have multiple meeting rooms that can serve as adequate locker rooms. If I'm not mistaken, I think Ole miss has a whole different locker room that they use for halftime of their games to avoid going way back to the main one. So that's a nice option for teams when it is there. Unfortunately, State's football facility is way on the other end of campus. So there is really not any other choice when it is at State.
  4. Nope I don't think they ever did. I was looking for it the other day too.
  5. Appears you have to be a member to be drafted and it’s 125 dollars a month to have a membership lol
  6. There is another court date next week. So what happens if Salem wins and becomes ineligible again next week ? Does Lumberton get put back in or does Nanih Waiya gets a bye in second round? I'm sure the latter. Either way, crazy situation.
  7. I really didn’t know if yall had made it past 3rd round in anything since the move to 2a. I know football made third round a few times. Wasn’t sure on other sports. Mize will beat Raleigh again one day. Who knows, it maybe next year like you say. We will have to see when it gets here. At least this current staff will play Raleigh. I’ll give them credit for that. Lee and his bunch took us off the schedule in 2019 in favor of West Lincoln. Left us with a bye in week 1. It was very close to the season and couldn’t find a replacement that late in the game. He knew they had NO chance of competing much less winning. Would’ve loved to seen what Get would’ve done in 2021 and 2022. Might would’ve had 500 each game. But then again, much like last night, Hig probably would’ve shown mercy.
  8. Nah whole different baseball coach now so that ain’t it. Ainsworth and Mattox definitely took their football frustrations out on the baseball field. But again, we did take a knee. Hig didn’t run it up. And Mize kept their starters out there too. Wasn’t like we had the starters out there against the backups. Great kick return by 8 setup one touchdown and the hook and ladder and then the lucky catch off the tip set up the other touchdown. Other than that, mize offense didn’t do much at all. Has that ATHLETICS program made it to south state in any sport since moving up to 2a twenty years ago?
  9. I was hoping for 50 and a running clock at the end there, but Coach Hig took gracious mercy and kneeled it. Maybe had he heard mattox yelling at him earlier in the game to get off the **** field, when it was the referee who asked him to come out there to tell him about a penalty, he wouldn’t have took that knee. As far as leaving the starters in, it wasn’t like it was 60-0 and a running clock since halftime or anything. Somewhat Tight game for a half. Also, and I wasn’t at the baseball game so I’m going off what I’m told, it could’ve been a little bit of payback for baseball. From what I understand, starters were left in on the Mize side and a lot stealing was going on in like a 20 to 0 type game. Running the score up in baseball because you cant get it done on the football field.
  10. Very true. Just as Mize has gotten many Mount Olive players over the years. As well as a few from Raleigh. I know for a fact that in the mid to late 2000s range, a Mize coach used to stop by Raleigh and pick up a kid on his way to Mize . Things used to be much easier in the “head count man” days and many teams used to take full advantage. Including Mize. And of course the last championship in 2004 featured heavily a player that moved in from north Mississippi. French camp I believe. Which I know he officially moved but if memory serves there had to be some clearing and string pulling done with the MHSAA. Luckily for mize, the head coach at the time just happened to be on some boards with the MHSAA and the MAC which made that string pulling just a little bit easier.
  11. lol ballizlife22 was posing as a Raleigh guy and was specifically singling out Mize players all week leading into that 2023 game. I have always theorized it was somebody on Mize's staff doing it, but I could be wrong. But, sure seemed like it was a coach that was going on here, smack talking specific players, then pressing print and posting it in their lockers. If not a coach, it was a fan/booster closely associated with the team. Then, he didn't log in for months after that game. He got started back up around playoff time but nothing to the extent of earlier in the season. But, like you said, I would support it too. It's a classic approach that has stood the test of time and works in any generation.
  12. Maybe ballizlife22 has returned two years later as KennyRayHill. That account was 100% trying to generate bulletin board material.
  13. Simpson county consolidation is no longer happening. Not now or near future at least. https://www.simpsoncounty.ms/consolidation-rescinded?fbclid=IwQ0xDSwLiCl1leHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHn3u5Lz5tygN-gqXkxt1Nc9zFXi0LEsDV3iXrneEoZj9UGGe1sQiNNsBTBV9_aem_Vjn_XOv1B71aLYgdvYFJgg
  14. Week 6 @ Mclaurin Week 7 is the non district against forest. Not sure where. Week 8 Magee Week 9 @ Seminary Week 10 JDC
  15. I think it's Newton County again for Week 2. Taylorsville is week 3 again yes. Morton for week 5. Forest is Week 7.
  16. Raleigh opens up at D'iberville in Week 1. Morton and Forest are the other two opponents for the other open dates. From what I have heard, Week 1 was originally supposed to be at Ocean Springs. But, that fell through for some reason. Not sure exactly what happened with that, but I know it wasn't on Raleigh's end that it fell through.
  17. Nope. Raleigh definitely wanted to continue the series but the Bay Springs staff did not.
  18. He was probably around 31 or 32 when he got the job at Raleigh in 2012. The First year he went 3-8 and followed that up with 4-7 in 2013. Talent was lower at Raleigh in those two years than it had been previously been and currently is there now, but moving away from Wing T and trying to transition to the spread definitely wasn’t the best fit offensively for the Lions. But, I agree he is a great dude and defensive coordinator. I always liked him. And Bert, I think you’re thinking about Hammond. After going 5-6 in 2000, He went 0-9 in 2001 and 0-10 in 2002.
  19. I have heard that 224 is the exact number for Raleigh.
  20. I have heard 220 something range for Raleigh. Not sure if low 220s or high 220s. And that could make a major difference.
  21. Ignore this Mize coach making his own bulletin board material.
