  1. What about them sending an email a few weeks back telling schools that coaches can’t coach in any of the “other” all star games and school equipment can’t be used in them either. Who are they to tell coaches what they can and can’t coach in?
  2. Literally 3 of the 6 champions were balanced attacks with the ability to run and pass. 2 were wing T and 1 power I. There is no magic potion, if you got athletes you can be successful in any offense as long as you coach them up correctly. if the opposing teams DLine is better than your OLine it’s going to come in handy to have some balance. I’ll take a balanced offense over air raid or wing T any day of the week.
  3. I know it. Was a joke in regards to this thread being started by people who don’t like passing
  4. Nope got to run it every play.
  5. I believe I said “balanced attack” you ever seen the look of confusion and frustration on a wing t teams face when the defense across from them is whipping them up front or when it’s 3rd and long. Corinth in 2019 great example of a team that was balanced.
  6. SC and Taylorville have dominated 2A. In 18 SC did it on the ground. And Bay Springs is superiority talented too. Find me a team playing this week that doesn’t have great talent.
  7. Point is 2A is weaker than ever while SC is loaded with talent.
  8. They would get the same treatment. 2A north is bad, and hasn’t been good in a while. Honestly 2A south has been weak the last two years aside from SC. Next year 2A south will be much tougher than it is now. SC graduates everything, Bay springs returns and Raleigh comes down (they loose a ton too)
  9. North teams really don’t see much Wing T until the Championship game. It’s very common offense in south 1A-5A. Balanced attack if the best if obtainable. And Passing offenses have dominated 2A since 2017
  10. Don’t think a 70+ year old who hasn’t coach in the public school setting since the mid 90s is the answer.
  11. All three have had decent teams in the last few years. Sam Williams had Hatchi rolling, 2015 Puckett was loaded, and Pisgah had a running back about 5 years ago that was as good as any RB in the state at that time.
  12. I live in the area I don’t see Meridian ever shrinking down to a small 4A. However from a competitive standpoint you could be correct.
  13. Guys they should go after. Todd McDaniel, Chucky Allen, Tyrone Shorter, Patrick Schoolar, the guy at Hazelhurst, Scott Central, maybe even Harmon would be interested. I don’t think a coach is coming out of retirement for the meridian job.
  14. What if Puckett or Pelehatchi get back to where they were? I don’t think a gold ball has ever came through Pisgah..
  15. Your thinking of a different Clay. West Lauderdale head coach’s last name is Clay. Kemper’s coach this past season last name is Clay as well.
  16. Enterprise will not have problems with Kemper. They were really bad this year.
  17. Y’all’s RB just randomly showed up? The young coach done the street from you (Mitchell) is going to be a good one too.
  18. They all do that BS lot of cowards in 8 man.
  19. Stone barely got past North Pike. I Think Poplarville rolls in this one. I don’t think either of the 4A south games will be close this week. Both Pop and Mendenhall have been here and played in these big games while the other two rarely get out of the 1st round.
  20. Players help at all schools. “I’m convinced Elmer Fudd could win a state championship at Louisville” -Bobby Hall
  21. It was relatively close. 36-14 going into 4th
  22. Scott Central is way better than anybody else in the south.
