Vance is extremely happy at Theodore High School in Alabama as their offensive coordinator and also being able to see his son play at South Alabama.
-
Terry has a RB who is committed to either Ga State or Ga Southern. Runs with power and hard to bring down. Not much of a passing game at all. And if Goula gets pressure on the QB he is gonna go down. He will try to pick up yards if he can but more often than not he will throw it away or take a dive

I wonder who dropped the ball on the George Co-Forest Hill matchup. To have to make that trip twice because of a scheduling mix up is bad.
-
PRC coming off their best regular season in years and an upset of Picayune last week. Hattiesburg coming in on a 7 game winning streak. How do you all see this playing out? Other 6a south playoff matchups: Terry at Pascagoula George Co. at Picayune Hancock at West Jones. Feel free to talk about any of the matchups.

Sumrall can beat stone. Ive got a nephew on Sumrall team. I saw them play 3 times when HHS had an open date and 2 Thursday games. Their worse loss was by 12 to Brookhaven. And Brookhaven scored a TD with 15 seconds left to make it a 12pt win.

No. 2 assistants went to collins one to greene co. One to Lawrence co
-
He only has 2 assistants from last yr. The others got offensive/defensive coordinator jobs or assistant head coaching jobs at other schools this yr

Never thought I would ever hear a compliment of HHS coming from you slick. Lol.
-
They may have pulled that mais trick and lost on purpose. Lol
-
It does, but then it goes to how both teams did vs top seed. Petal beat og. Nw rankin did not.
-
Cant forget Lacey at Hattiesburg. He came into a tough spot replacing Vance then personel wise having to replace his entire DLINE and linebackers. Then to start the season his top WR was out due to injury. Season started out tough but now they have won 7 straight
-
Well og keeps winning their region and biloxi keeps finishing 4th in their region.
-
It will be the yearly OG Biloxi matchup. Lol
-
I would have to look, but I think Oceans Springs played South Panola in like 2004 or somewhere about that time
-
More often than not if you meet up with someone again in the playoffs that you played in the regular season, the team that lost in the regular season seems to get their lick back in the playoffs. When Hattiesburg and Laurel were both 5a ( 6a was still the biggest classification) they met in the playoffs after HHS had won the regular season game. Playoffs came around and Laurel whipped us pretty good.
-
Since you are not shy about telling it like it is, what will the 5a title game look like this year for whoever comes from the south?
-
I guess its this new generation of fans. I always had a poncho, raincoat or umbrella. Sitting in the elements never bothered me.
-
Never thought I would see the day football games got moved because of rain. Back in my days we would always hope to get at least one sloppy wet muddy field game.
-
And they were the feel good story in the state after the first month of the season. They snapped a 49 game losing streak and started the season off 3-0. Now that losing streak is back intact at 59 games.
-
I think if Goula HHS Picayune and WJ all make it to round 2 anyone can beat anyone and go to south state and state. In fact I think all 4 could possibly win it all.
-
True. But they only lost to Picayune by 2 and missed a GW field goal as time expired
-
Og beat gport in a jamboree. That dont count
-
6a south watch out for Goula. They have gotten some swagger back after a horrible start
-
Pretty much all 8 teams who make the 5a south playoffs could make it to south state. WEAK!!!!!!
-
Slick, come on back for the final few weeks of the season. WC is now hosting a game in the first round of the playoffs and have a legit shot at beating South Jones or Laurel. Win that and I feel like they could beat Brookhaven Co in round 2. It is not a far fetched dream to see WC in south state championship
